Paris Hilton details ‘devastating’ loss of $8.4M Malibu home in fire: I’m ‘grateful’ my family is safe - lulu

Paris Hilton is still coming to terms with the California wildfires.

The socialite, who lost her home in Malibu, Calif., called the destruction “heartbreaking, devastating” and “terrifying” during an exclusive interview with Page Six at the third annual God’s Love We Deliver Young Hearts Friends Fest at the Museum of Ice Cream in New York City on Tuesday.

Hilton, 43, added that she was “so grateful” for the recent rain because “it’s just so scary with the fires and embers flying everywhere and starting other fires.”

Earlier this month, the “Simple Life” star and her husband, Carter Reum, visited the site of their beachfront Malibu home, which was completely destroyed. In a video she shared on Instagram, nothing remained of the abode except the front entrance and what appeared to be part of its foundation.

The couple purchased the oceanside pad for $8.4 million in June 2021.

Hilton explained to us that what has been most upsetting about the loss “is just all of the memories there and all the sentimental things,” adding that the family had an art room where they had created “really cute things” she “wanted to cherish forever.”

But the “Stars Are Blind” singer noted, “The most important thing is that we’re all safe, and I’m grateful for that.”

Hilton and Reum, who married in November 2021, share two children: son Phoenix, 2, and daughter London, 1.

The two youngsters made their red carpet debut at Tuesday’s philanthropic event.

Despite it taking place at an ice cream museum, the “Paris in Love” star was not worried about her toddlers going on a sugar overload.

“My kids are very healthy,” she shared with Page Six. “They love vegetables and fruit, and they don’t eat sweets. They don’t have cookies or cake or anything like that. Even if it’s, like, a birthday and somebody, like, gives them a little taste of it, they don’t even like it.”

Hilton added that she had just tried to offer Phoenix some Hello Kitty cotton candy, which he rebuffed, “so we’ll see what happens today when we get upstairs and have the ice cream. Hopefully they’ll love it!”
