The 'Summer House' star announced on Dec. 30 that she and the 'Southern Charm' lead broke up after three years of dating
The theories about why Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover broke up continue to swirl online.
DeSorbo, 32, said on the Jan. 7 episode of her podcast Giggly Squad podcast that she doesn’t “care about any rumor that is like, ever said about me,” but she couldn’t ignore a social media claim that she cheated on Conover, 35, with Saturday Night Live cast member Marcello Hernandez.
“When I first saw that, I died laughing,” DeSorbo told co-host Hannah Berner.
The fashion influencer said she reached out to Hernandez, 27, because she “felt weird” about his involvement in the aftermath of her split.
“I was like, I feel like I have to text Marcello cause like, what if he sees it? What if he has a girlfriend?” DeSorbo said.
Berner, 33, and DeSorbo are in a Bachelorette group chat with Hernandez, and the Summer House star said she only ever texted him outside of the group chat to ask him for an invite to the SNL afterparty when comedian Shane Gillis hosted in February 2024.
“So I just texted him. I was like, ‘Hey, just want to let you know, there was a rumor going around that I cheated on my boyfriend with you,’” DeSorbo said. “And he was just like, ‘F--- yeah!’”
From there, DeSorbo claimed Hernandez “was sending me screenshots of DMs he was getting of people being like, ‘We f---ing hate you now if you're the reason,’” she said. “And I was like, ‘Marcelo, I'm so f---ing sorry. This is so embarrassing.’ And no one involved was defending me, which I found interesting.”
Berner referred to Hernandez as her “baby brother,” and therefore, knew DeSorbo never would’ve hooked up with him.
“I was like, I can't have sex with a minor, that’s illegal,” DeSorbo quipped.
DeSorbo said she did not expect “the amount of misogyny” she received after announcing her split from Conover after three years on the Dec. 30 episode of Giggly Squad. “The 65-year-old boy moms can absolutely f--- off,” she continued.
But the reality star appreciated her fans for defending her. “I don't think I would have survived this week if I didn't see the Gigglers in the comments being like, ‘You don't f---ing get it. She's not actually suing you,’” DeSorbo said.
Conover addressed the breakup for the first time on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Jan. 7, saying the split happened right before the holidays and he “was very shocked.”
“And it’s okay,” the Southern Charm star said. “It takes two people to be in a relationship and you can’t control other people, you can only control how you react to it. Remember to be kind to Paige and me and yourselves and all of that good stuff.”
Now, Conover said he’s “gotta start living again” as his life moves forward without DeSorbo.
"I’m still processing everything, which is normal," the Sewing Down South founder continued. "It’s a three-year relationship, it’s your best friend who you talk to all day every day, and then they’re just gone. So, you know, one day I’ll be able to talk more on it.”
