New York Rangers steal 24-year old defenseman from Atlantic Division team with a one-year contract

   

The New York Rangers organization and Assistant General Manager and Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin has just announced that the organization has signed a new defenseman to a one-year contract for the 2025-26 season.Cooper Moore

That defenseman being 24-year old Cooper Moore, who played 37 games this past season with the Quinnipiac University, where he managed to tally a total of 14 points (1 G, 13 A). Moore finished the season tied for second among defenseman in points and finished tied for sixth place on the team in +/- with a +10 rating.
UPDATE: The Hartford Wolf Pack has signed defenseman Cooper Moore to a one-year contract for the 2025-26 season.

 

Cooper Moore has had quite the career prior to signing with the Wolf Pack

According to reports the 6'2», 187-pound defenseman has quite the impressive record before joining the Hartford Wolf Pack:
The native of Greenwich, CT, enjoyed a career season with the Bobcats during the 2023-24 campaign. He tied his previous career-high with three goals that season and set career best marks in assists (19), points (22), and +/- (+26).

Along with this Moore spent three seasons (2020-21 - 2022-23) at the University of North Dakota, before joining the Quinnipiac University, where he appeared in 87 games with the program.
During Moore's five seasons in the NCAA he skated in 163 games and recorded 63 points (11 g, 52 a).
Cooper Moore was originally drafted by Detroit Red Wings in the fifth round, 128th overall, of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. However, the Detroit Red Wings' draft rights to Sam Stange, COOPER MOORE and Ryan O'Reilly expired back in August of 2024 due to the fact that they did not sign within four years of their draft year.
but will now be providing the Wolf Pack with some solid depth on their blueline with hopes of making his NHL Debut one day.
