NeNe Leakes revealed if she’s spoken to executive producer Andy Cohen since they “settled” their “dispute,” and she hinted at what it would take for her to return to Real Housewives of Atlanta. The star also clapped back at Kenya Moore after the ex-co-star shaded her use of “filters” on social media.
Ahead of season 13, NeNe left the show after losing her full-time position in the cast. In April of 2022, she filed a discrimination lawsuit against Andy, Bravo, and NBCUniversal. A few months later, she dismissed the suit, though the reason for her dismissal is still a mystery.
In an interview for The Breakfast Club, NeNe was asked if she’s in talks to potentially return to RHOA.
“We’re not in meetings. We did settle our dispute with each other,” said the star, via @therhoatalk on X, formerly known as Twitter. “I don’t know if I’ll go back to Housewives. I don’t know what that looks like for me, but I won’t say never.”
NeNe hinted she “might be back” if she’s offered a “check” with enough “zero[s] on the end.”
She then was asked if she was communicating with Andy.
“I haven’t spoken to him,” she answered. “But I’m not against speaking to him, but I haven’t spoken to him.”
As for her recent encounter with Kenya at an airport, NeNe expressed, “So Kenya and I have been texting anyway, like when she went through this whole thing — whatever happened with her exiting the show — we text a few times.”
“I was in London celebrating my birthday. She was there. We text. We were gonna try to have tea, but we couldn’t, and it just so happened we bumped into each other in the airport,” she explained. “And so we’re cool. I’m cool with all those girls. I don’t have an issue. You know when you’re on the show, the show kind of pits you up against each other.”
Though she and Kenya are cool, NeNe addressed how her co-star shaded her user of filters after complimenting her for something else.
“You don’t give people their props and then throw shade trees, honey,” said NeNe, addressing Kenya directly. “You use filters too. I don’t know anybody that’s posting their pictures without a filter … Now if you look absolutely different in person than your picture on Instagram, then that’s another story.”
“But that’s not what [I’m doing],” she said. “I use a filter and I am the filter, okay, Kenya Moore? … Because these girls need to use filters too.”
According to NeNe, Kenya in person at the airport looked “okay,” though she “wasn’t looking her best.”
“She could’ve used the hairdo and a filter.”
