Melissa Gorga thinks Bravo needs to keep some original cast members from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” for season 15.
In a December 2024 interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” Gorga said, “We come from a very like long-standing franchise with very familiar faces. I feel like they would need a few— I understand them wanting to do a little like mix up because it’s time, obviously—but I think they would need to keep a few familiar faces.”
“I don’t know who or what they decide, but I would suggest they kept a few familiar faces or it’s just, I think it would be very tricky,” she added.
“Like who’s Suzie Q and who’s this sister of hers and who’s this?” Gorga cracked of a potential new cast. “Like, I don’t know. And like a lot of us are still like young and in our prime and ready to go so…”
The 14th season of RHONJ was so toxic that the deeply divided cast didn’t even gather for a traditional reunion with host Andy Cohen.
In July 2024, Cohen, who serves as a Real Housewives producer, confirmed on his Sirius XM show, “Andy Cohen Live” that there would be a rebrand for RHONJ. There has been talk of a full reboot or a partial cast shakeup.
The 14th season of RHONJ featured Gorga, Teresa Giudice, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda, and “friends” Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler.
Dolores Catania Said Fans Won’t Embrace a Full Reboot
During an earlier appearance on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” Gorga’s longtime co-star Catania also said viewers want to see season 14 cast back on the show because they have an “emotional attachment” to the veteran cast members.
“Everybody wants us back, they really want us all back,” she told the outlet on December 12. “I know the fans, wherever I go they’re like ‘You guys have to come back.’ And that’s nice to hear.”
Catania predicted that a full cast shakeup would probably not go over well with viewers. “I don’t think [fans] would embrace [a reboot],” Catania said. “I gotta be honest, I don’t. And you know to be honest, I would love to see us all come back. It’s an ensemble cast, and we’ve had great times, and we’ve had bad times, but they were always entertaining. It worked for some reason. As bad as it was, it worked. The chaos worked the way it did.”
Melissa Gorga Said She Has No Idea What Bravo’s Plan Is
Gorga also agreed that fans are invested in the lives of her cast mates and won’t want to see a big change, but she acknowledged that the time for some of the Jersey Housewives may be up.
“Listen, I’ve been on this TV show for 14 years,” she told Page Six. “You can’t do everything forever, you know. We really don’t know. This is not me foreshadowing. I truly, my guess is as good as everyone out there. …I really don’t know.”
Gorga previously told Entertainment Tonight she has “zero” ideas about what will happen with RHONJ. “I can see it going so many different ways,” she said.
