Major Development surfaces regarding New York Rangers Defenseman Adam Fox and his ongoing injury

Adam FoxThe New York Rangers offered an update on defenseman Adam Fox who has been recovering on injured reserve. He took part in an optional skate today and we're crossing our fingers, as he shed his non-contact jersey.

The New York Rangers have had to rely on call-ups, and depth defensemen in trades for the time that Adam Fox has been out of the lineup.
On the right side, top-pairing where Fox lives they've had to tap Will Borgen to hold that spot while he's been away, recovering.
But with the Rangers' latest update, it seems we could see Adam Fox back in the lineup very soon if he gets medically cleared at least.

Today, NHL Insider Peter Baugh of The Athletic reported Adam Fox shed the non-contact jersey at practice.
A promising update for the top-pairing defenseman.
Vince Mercogliano of USA Today reported that Fox would take part in drills at practice.
Giving us some more insight into Fox's health status which we haven't received an update on yet from the team.
In 58 games for the Rangers this season he's scored 43 points (5 G, 43 A). He'd play for Team USA in what was an exciting Four Nations Face-Off tournament and would shortly be injured after that.
While we don't know when Fox could return to the lineup, there's hope it'll be soon as the Rangers will focus on making the playoffs.
Peter Laviolette on Fox's status yesterday:
«Nothing's changed with him. That's great he's out on the ice and progressing, but he's on IR still,» Peter Laviolette said.

We will have to cross our fingers that it improves in the meantime.
