Bachelor Nation fans first got to know Madi Prewett Troutt on Season 24 of “The Bachelor.”
Since her time on the show, Madi found love off-screen and married her husband Grant Troutt in November 2022.
The two announced earlier this year that they’re expecting their first child together and that it’s a baby girl.
Now, Madi has revealed online the surprising news that Grant has never watched her season of “The Bachelor.”
In a video posted to her Instagram, it shows the Bachelor Nation star interviewing her husband and asking, “Have you ever watched a second of me on ‘The Bachelor’?”
ABC
He immediately looks at the camera and responds with, “Never. Not once. Never. Not one time, not one YouTube video, not one clip. No.”
Madi starts laughing and then shares that she would’ve done the same thing if it was reversed, saying, “I wouldn’t want to watch you date another person.”
Grant then shared a little bit about his response to Madi being on the show and why he never watched it.
He said, “You just have to face that head-on and go, ‘Okay, I don’t know anything about the entire situation.’ Everyone has this stigma when you say the word ‘Bachelor,’ especially when you attach it to a Christian. You’re kind of like, ‘Interesting. Let me just hear more of that.’”
Madi also revealed in the video that she and her husband ended up having some arguments and going on a short break as they were learning how to grow stronger together.
Grant said, “We just developed thick skin together. You’d already done it, but I feel like I got to develop thick skin on what people say, thick, or whatever.”
The couple ended the video by both admitting that they sometimes forget Madi was on the show, and she confessed, “I kind of forget that it even happened.”
We’ve enjoyed seeing Madi’s journey since her time on the show and are curious to see if one day Grant ends up watching her season of “The Bachelor.”
In the meantime, we’re so excited for their baby girl to arrive and can’t wait to see what else their future has in store!
