Lisa Vanderpump is sounding off on Scheana Shay, Kyle Richards, and Katie Maloney‘s declaration that the Vanderpump Rules reboot feels “cheap.”
The Bravo legend held nothing back during her solo appearance on Thursday night’s (May 1) episode of Watch What Happens Live. When host Andy Cohen asked for her feelings about Maloney saying the new Vanderpump Rules reboot feels “cheap,” Vanderpump surprisingly agreed.
“Listen, she’s right. It’s younger and fresher,” she said, before joking, “And it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than paying for those expensive asses. So, yeah.”
Bravo announced that Vanderpump Rules would be moving forward with a completely new cast for Season 12. Maloney, who did not have plans to return to the show either way, called the reboot “cheap,” noting that you can’t “replicate a recipe.” The former reality star also told her ex-husband Tom Schwartz on a recent episode of his Detox Retox podcast, “With the same name [but] different show. There’s not even a season 1. To me, it just feels like it’s going to try to have the same flavor and the same everything.”
Maloney wasn’t the only former Vanderpump Rules star Vanderpump addressed on Watch What Happens Live. Shay, another OG cast member, recently said she was going to spill some tea about Vanderpump in her upcoming memoir My Good Side.
“Good lord. That’s probably just to sell the book because she hasn’t got anything else to say,” Vanderpump quipped. “I’ve heard she said something nasty recently. She said something like I only call her when I need something. True dat, right? I’ve got 600 people I work with. I think the last time I needed her was when I invited her to my house for [my grandson] Teddy’s birthday.”
The restauranteur circled back to Shay’s “nasty” comments, telling Cohen, “I’m always utterly grateful and loyal to you and to everything that [The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills] gave me. And I hold that very highly. So when you get all these remarks from people that are constantly saying something negative when you’ve given them a fantastic chance at life…”

“Look at you, too. Look at all the chances,” Vanderpump said, referring to Cohen’s executive producer status on Real Housewives. “Look at what people have done. And then they continually bite you in the ass? That’s not OK with me.”
Speaking of Real Housewives, Vanderpump also laid in on former BFF Richards after she said she was eyeing a house across the street from Villa Rosa.
“This house is 15 feet from me. She went there four times. I heard this,” Vanderpump explained. “This house used to be Channing Tatum’s. I used to have a plan to dig a tunnel underneath the road to get to Channing Tatum. But he sold it and then Kyle trying to buy it? Why would you go there four times? Why doesn’t she just ask to stay in my guest bedroom or something?”
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
