Lions Announce They've Re-Signed Veteran Wide Receiver

The Detroit Lions have re-signed a veteran wide receiver just a day after a social media post made it clear he wanted to return to the team.
The Detroit Lions officially have another player from their 2024 roster coming back for another season.

It's not a move that should come as a big surprise. The player didn't bother to hide his desire to return to the organization.

On March 13, Tim Patrick shared a picture to his Instagram story showing a jacket with a message on the back.

The message said, "I only want to work with the Lions."

Just a day later, the veteran wide receiver has gotten his wish as the Lions announced that they would be re-signing Patrick for the 2025 season.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the deal is worth up to $4 million.

Patrick becomes the 10th player from the Lions' 2024 roster who they have managed to re-sign this offseason.

He put together a solid 2024 season in his first year with the Lions.

The franchise took a chance on him after he had missed all of the 2022 and 2023 seasons because of a torn ACL and a torn Achilles.

The move paid off for the Lions as Patrick established himself as a solid option for them at WR3.

While competing with plenty of talented pass catchers for targets, Patrick made 33 catches for 394 yards and three touchdowns. He turned those 33 catches into 20 first downs.

Now it looks like he'll hold onto the WR3 spot with the Lions for one more season and he'll get a nice raise after playing last season on a deal worth just $1.125 million.
