Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke have found themselves in an Instagram feud after Lindsay called out Carl on her Story for suggesting that she skipped the soft launch of his sober bar because she was “embarrassed.”
Following Wednesday’s episode of Summer House, which showcased Carl’s New Jersey-based event, Lindsay, 38, revealed the real reason she failed to attend and shaded her ex’s new venture, pointing out that the concept “didn’t even have a location,” as Carl, 40, clapped back by clarifying his “embarrassed” diss and accusing her of taking “jabs” all summer long.
“Sadly I did not see this convo until last night and therefore I wasn’t able to address it at the reunion, but here’s what I will say…” Lindsay began in the first of two posts shared to her Instagram Story on May 8, including a screenshot of a conversation Carl had with their castmates on the latest episode.
“She’s just embarrassed, still,” he alleged.
Moments later, Lindsay’s second post was shared.
“This man has me all wrong but then again this is the guy who said I was obsessed with him over the summer,” she wrote in the caption of the same screenshot, proceeding to share a number of issues she had with Carl’s claims about her.
“1) What are we in middle school? Embarrassed is not the word here. This man (my best friend of 8 years/fiance/partner) blindsided me and publicly humiliated me on National Television with less respect than you would have for your enemy. Why ON EARTH would I need to go to his ‘soft launch’ for his bar that wasn’t even opening yet?” she asked with her first comment.
“2) I didn’t attend said ‘launch’ NOT because I was ‘embarrassed,’ but good try. I didn’t attend because why would I go 3 hours deep into New Jersey, in the middle of rush hour traffic on a Summer Thursday, for a bar that — at that time — didn’t even have a location locked in? And that you’re talking about opening in Brooklyn (the complete opposite direction)? Call me when it’s launching, but I’m not going to waste 8 hours of my life to go celebrate him talking about potentially doing something at some point, maybe, in the future. Call me when it’s opening!” she continued.
Then, in a third comment, Lindsay added, “After watching this season back, I don’t think I’m the one throwing ‘jabs’ at his concept … pretty sure a lot of people had a lot of opinions on this endeavor, and it wasn’t me.”
Following the sharing of Lindsay’s post, Carl replied, sharing that his conversation was taken out of context.
“This had nothing to do with her coming to NJ or the Soft Bar event. Zero,” he stated, as seen in a screenshot shared by Comments by Bravo on Instagram. “I was asked a question by [Kyle Cooke] about why she’s making jabs all summer and I responded with an opinion in the moment and I regret even saying anything about her cause here we are with the post-episode story rant and bullet points about something that hasn’t nothing to do with that conversation.”
Still, Lindsay pressed on, accusing him of gaslighting her after their August 2023 split and signaling his “soft” behavior.
“Hey Carl… if all you’re getting from me are ‘jabs,’ after the insane disrespect and gaslighting you showed me the season before, you should be thanking your lucky stars,” Lindsay wrote back to her ex. “Seems like someone is a little soft… I owe you literally nothing.”
“I shared a space with you all summer, we are not friends, nor will we ever be,” she added.
Summer House season nine airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
