“We were very in love – and I still love him” Below Deck’s Solène Favreau drops bombshell about secret romance with Season 11 crew member Dylan Pierre De Villiers as she breaks down over heartbreaking long-distance split on Season 12 - suong

The Caribbean charter season is off to a sweltering start on Below Deck Season 12, and that's not just the weather.

Flirtations are already heating up among the crew of motor yacht St. David, but sparks are especially flying between deckhand Kyle Stillie and stew Solène Favreau.

However, as Solène revealed to Kyle in Episode 3, she's still hurting from a recent breakup.

"This bracelet is from my ex-boyfriend, Dylan," she explained in an interview, referring to Dylan Pierre De Villiers, whom viewers may recognize from his time on Below Deck Season 11.

"We were very in love," continued Solène in her interview during the June 16 episode. "And I didn't hide what I felt."

Why did Solène Favreau and Dylan Pierre De Villiers break up?

Per Solène, the relationship with Dylan ended well before the start of the charter season — but not because they fell out of love.

"We broke up because he was in another country, so, distance," revealed Solène.

That's not the end of their story.

She confessed in her interview, "Even after, I still love him."

Noting she was "very sad" after the split, Solène continued by explaining she now prefers to keep her emotions close to the chest. That way, there's "no risk" of being hurt a second time.

"Since Dylan, I've never been in love again," she declared. "I'm young. I'm free. I'm not looking for a relationship!"

This is also something she made clear to Kyle during their chat by the dock.

"I'm not sleeping with you!" she said matter-of-factly, but also with a laugh.

Who is Dylan Pierre De Villiers, Solène Favreau's ex-boyfriend?

Dylan was a late addition to the Below Deck crew in Season 11, coming aboard as a deckhand in Episode 8 after Ben Willoughby was promoted to bosun.

Though he didn't know anyone at the time, he later told The Daily Dish that he had bonded with Chef Anthony Iracane during their time on St. David.

Known for his fit physique, commitment to health, and strong work ethic, Dylan quickly made waves among his fellow crew. In his BravoTV.com bio, he described what his life looks like off charter: "I go to the gym, I go out and enjoy my life in moderation. I am super social, so I make friends. I travel. I bought my dream car, so I’m working on that constantly."
