During their Summer House breakup conversation, Lexi Wood accused Jesse Solomon of "lying" throughout their romance. Even after the relationship ended, she thought he was still telling "half-truths" about Ciara Miller.
Recapping their tense chat for most of the housemates in Season 9, Episode 14, Jesse claimed that Lexi "was upset" that he repaired his friendship with Ciara. When the accusation got back to Lexi via Kyle Cooke, however, she vehemently denied his version of events.
"We did not have any conversation about Ciara," Lexi insisted. "That’s not fair for him to say that I'm ending this because of her. That's f–king diabolical."
When a "confused" Kyle said that he didn't want to "create a game of telephone," the model added, "He tells half-truths to all of you guys, and then you guys all believe it as bible."
What Jesse Solomon claimed Lexi Wood said about Ciara Miller
During his breakup debrief upstairs with Ciara, Kyle, Amanda Batula, Paige DeSorbo, Carl Radke, and West Wilson, Jesse explained that Lexi allegedly made the comments during a dinner they'd had earlier in the week after he and Ciara attended the U.S. Open together.
"We had a great date on Tuesday, and she was upset that I, like, had a nice time with Ciara," he said. "She was like, 'How are you just gonna, like, get over it like that when she has, like, been rude to West and to me?'"
According to Jesse, Lexi went on to accuse him of not being "protective" of her and caring more about his friendships in the house than their relationship.
"Lexi, I guess, doesn't feel that close with Ciara," he continued. "She said I've been isolating her from the house, and, like, I can't really just say to her, like, 'I think it's just taken you a minute to, like, make good friendships with some of the girls."
Later at Lindsay Hubbard's "freedom dinner," Lexi confronted Jesse, demanding he "stop saying things that aren't true."
Though he denied saying Lexi broke up with him because of Ciara, she fired back, "That's weird. It has nothing to do with anyone else other than you and your actions."
Then, Lexi spilled the tea that Jesse had supposedly admitted to "disliking" Ciara, just one day before their U.S. Open hangout. "And I said, 'OK, that makes sense. Her and West have issues, and, yeah, this summer, because of you, her and I have not been able to be besties,'" she elaborated, telling Jesse directly, "You were trying to pit us all against each other all summer. … And, yeah, right now, based on what you've told me about her all summer, I don't trust her."
That's when Lexi turned to Ciara and confessed, "I'm sorry, I don't trust you."
Why did Lexi Wood break up with Jesse Solomon?
Though Lexi didn't break up with Jesse solely because of Ciara, their flirtatious friendship — along with him "lying about a girl sucking his toe" and generally "acting single" when she wasn't around —certainly played a part in her developing relationship-ending trust issues.
The straw that eventually broke the camel's back arrived when Jesse supposedly used his 9 p.m. manicure as an excuse to not come meet her best friends, and Lexi's "first instinct" was to assume he was lying to her.
"You've changed me," she told Jesse during their breakup convo. "I no longer trust people like I did at the start of the summer. I feel like the light in me is slowly dying because I'm exhausted from teaching you. I've said this all summer. I feel like it's, like, emotional whiplash."
Insisting that she gave Jesse "so many chances" amid his "many lies" (which he denied), she just couldn't get past her inability to trust him any longer, nor did she feel he was "ready for" the serious relationship she was looking for.
Now that they're both back on the market, don't miss Lexi's bold prediction about Jesse dating Ciara.
