Lala Kent was seemingly shaded by her former assistant, Jessica Walter, after announcing her departure from her podcast, Give Them Lala, earlier this week.
“One foot in front of the other, y’all,” Jessica had written in the caption of a November 6 photo of herself.
She then “liked” the fan’s message, which read, “This was handled so poorly. Not your fault but we listen to a pod with the three of you on the reg and have no answers. No send off or anything,”
Also in the comments section of Jessica’s post, some suspected Lala’s brother, Easton Burningham, was involved.
“I remember a while back they said that if she and Easton started dating one of them would have to stop working for Lala … Boy do I hope that’s the reason! What a love story!” one person wrote.
Another said, “We had a whole thing about your breakup but we get a [two] second blurb about you leaving?!”
Then, when a third asked, “Why didn’t you say goodbye,” someone replied, “[Three] letters: NDA.”
As Pump Rules fans may have heard, Lala mentioned Jessica’s exit from her show briefly, stating that she wished her friend “the best.”
“My ride or die Jessica is no longer going to be working for me and she will no longer be on the podcast … She is going to go spread her wings and fly and we wish her all the best,” Lala explained, per Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram. “I love her more than anything and I’m so excited to see what she’s going to do in her future.”
Right away, fans wanted to know more.
“Why wasn’t Jessica there for the announcement…like a farewell pod or something?” one wondered.
“Ummm please tell us the tea if you get it!!! This is such a [bizarre] send off,” another agreed.
Vanderpump Rules is currently on pause ahead of its 12th season.
