Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky were accused of “mock”-ing Erika Jayne with Dorit Kemsley and Paul “PK” Kemsley amid her legal drama on an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 11. But where do they stand after the drama-filled reunion?
During a new interview, Kyle and her husband opened up about their drama with Erika, who admitted she was “really hurt” by the group laughing at her stories, as Kyle explained why Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Teresa Giudice surprised her the most amid filming on the Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip.
“We did talk about it,” Kyle told E! News, via Yahoo! Entertainment, on November 17. “We apologized and moved on… It did hurt her feelings. And Mauricio also spoke to Erika as well as PK.”
“I apologized, PK and I both apologized to her,” Mauricio confirmed. “The reality is we weren’t making fun of her, we were just in a conversation that was very funny.”
Looking back, Kyle admitted that Erika’s stories, including her recounting of a home invasion Thomas Girardi allegedly walked in on at their multi-million dollar Pasadena home, were “confusing,” but she said that explaining stories on camera is often stressful.
“I understand she was stressed so that’s why there was missing pieces and it was overwhelming and she was probably analyzing everything she said,” Kyle explained.
Moving on to her time filming RHUGT, Kyle said she was “most surprised by Teresa.”
“She was actually nothing like I thought she would be,” Kyle shared. “When I first started watching [RHONJ], I was watching her flipping tables and the Italian hot temper. I’ve seen a lot of these reality people be divas and she is not like that at all. [She’s] very unaware of the cameras and very down to earth.”
While Teresa was less dramatic than Kyle expected, Ramona Singer‘s over-the-top antics were in full swing as soon as cameras began rolling.
“I was thinking, ‘None of us have pre-existing relationships.’ I thought, ‘What could really happen?’ No. Ramonacoaster started right out of the gate,” Kyle laughed.
When Kyle was then asked about Dorit’s recent robbery, which came just a couple of years after her and Mauricio’s home was robbed, she admitted the two break-ins were “very different.”
“I fortunately was actually [in] a very different situation. To be not home versus someone coming into your bedroom, intruders, is absolutely terrifying,” Kyle noted. “The morning it happened, I went straight to her house and it was really unbelievable how, in the moment, calm she was and how she handled the situation with these intruders and how she conversed with them.”
Also during the interview, Kyle said that while she “of course” wants sister Kathy Hilton to return to RHOBH for season 12, fans are going to have to “see what happens.”
