Kyle Richards’ friends have some issues. Dorit Kemsley was recently robbed at gunpoint in the middle of the night. Erika Jayne faces a multimillion-dollar lawsuit over her husband’s alleged embezzlement.
Kyle’s sister Kathy Hilton, who joined Real Housewives of Beverly Hills last season, is currently not filming with the other women. According to a report by TMZ, Kathy wants a higher salary from Bravo.
At the 2021 People’s Choice Awards, Kyle and Crystal Kung Minkoff discussed these issues in an interview with Access Hollywood. The conversation touched on Dorit’s home invasion, and Kyle revealed that her friend was “absolutely struggling.”
“When it first happened, [Dorit] was in shock and now the reality has settled and it’s going to take some time,” she said. Kyle also thinks Dorit has some “PTSD,” to which Crystal agreed.
Regarding her friendship with Erika, Kyle said last season was “challenging” and “confusing,” but she ultimately believes that “the Erika I know is an honest person, and is a kind and supportive person.”
In the interview, Kyle shared that she apologized to Erika because certain things were said on the show. Her husband Mauricio Umansky, Dorit, and PK Kemsley also apologized to the pop singer.
The reporter asked if Kathy would return for season 12, to which Kyle answered, “TBD. I think she will. Right now she’s been busy with Paris’ wedding and they were also filming that so there was a lot going on. I think that it will happen, I’m pretty sure, I’m hopeful.”
Crystal discussed her experience in the spotlight after her first season on RHOBH. The newbie described it as “different,” and she explained, “Some things are great, some things are—It’s all fun actually.”
Kyle, who has been in the spotlight for over a decade, disagreed with Crystal’s answer: “She’s totally lying right now.”
