The RHONY alum announced she's pursuing a real estate license in Texas.
Look out, Tracy Tutor. There’s another Bravoleb who has their eyes on the Texas real estate market.
On Thursday, October 10, Kelly Killoren Bensimon gave fans an exciting and optimistic update on her personal life and career. The Real Housewives of New York City alum posted an Instagram in which she alluded to her recent breakup and renewed focus on her real estate business.
“Feeling warm and calm. I can’t tell you how hard transition is,” she wrote in the post. “My home is now my nest, my heart is open; my days are all about test taking for my Texas license, and my mind is fueled with possibilities. I’m just literally ‘feeling myself’. It’s been a long time since 2005 that I felt like me. Feel like yourself!”
If all goes according to plan, Kelly will join Tracy as a licensed Texas real estate agent. The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles cast member currently leads a Douglas Elliman team in the Dallas area and recently purchased a home in the Lone Star State.
“My new bachelorette pad in Dallas is so amazing!” she told The Daily Dishin September. “I literally have everything at my fingertips… I mean, there’s a lot of great things that Dallas has to offer. I say Highland Park is like the Beverly Hills of Texas. But also, you know, there [are] a lot of advantages to being in an income tax-free state.”
Just like Tracy, Kelly has real estate licenses in multiple regions, including California, Florida, New York City, and the Hamptons, where she and her ex-fiancé, Scott Litner, were set to marry.
The former couple — who also planned a smaller, intimate ceremony in Boston — called it quits just days before their wedding date. Kelly addressed the shocking split in a June statement shared by People magazine, saying Scott “refused to sign a prenuptial agreement, and [she] refused to marry him.”
“He thought that I would enter this union without legal protections in place, that I would leave everything to faith,” the statement read. “But I’ve worked really, really, hard as a single mother and have always made smart decisions for myself and my family, and that will continue.”
Kelly — who shares two daughters with her ex-husband, Gilles Bensimon — insists she hasn’t given up on love. During a recent interview with Page Six, the Illinois native confirmed she was back in the dating scene but was not committed.
“I’m not in a relationship,” she said. “I am enjoying myself… I am not hunting. I can’t wait for my next chapter.”
