Karen Huger has been sentenced to one year in jail.

Months after the 61-year-old Real Housewives of Potomac cast member was found guilty of DUI and a slew of other charges, including negligent driving and failure to control speed, she appeared in front of Judge Terrence McGann, who seemed “visibly angry” as he dealt out her sentencing.

According to FOX 5 DC, the judge began his court appearance casually before becoming increasingly angry about Karen’s March 2024 DUI crash, her fourth DUI offense, which saw her crashing her Maserati.

“You were filled to the gills with alcohol,” the judge reportedly told her after she attempted to blame the incident on a mixture of alcohol and anti-depressants.

As RHOP fans may have heard, Karen filed a motion ahead of her sentencing in which she said that she had increased her intake of prescription medication after the 2017 death of her mom and the 2018 death of her dad.

“The loss of her parents, and the pressures of being in the public eye – and the stress of providing responsible leadership on the TV show – continued to wear at her well-being. Over time the dosages of the medication went up – probably beyond prescribed recommendations – but the drinking in moderation remained the same,” her court documents attempted to explain.

Meanwhile, prosecutors pointed to her previous DUI offenses and shaded her last-minute entry into rehab, pointing out that she only sought treatment after she was found guilty.

“Ms. Huger does not appear to have taken any steps whatsoever to take accountability for her actions on March 19, 2024. In the nine months leading up to trial she did not enroll herself into any type of alcohol treatment program or support group. Instead, the Defendant spent 6 days at the Miraval Resort in Arizona in August of 2024- which her former defense attorneys depicted to the State as a ‘holistic wellness program.’ Miraval is not a rehab or counseling center of any kind and is rather quite simply a luxury spa,” they stated.

FOX 5 DC went on to confirm that Karen’s sentence does “start right away,” noting that while she’ll be going right to jail, which jail she’ll be serving her time at remains unclear.

Prior to her sentencing, which included a two-year term, with one year suspended, Karen was facing up to two years in prison.

In addition to the info provided by FOX 5 DC, Us Weekly revealed Karen was joined in court by her husband, Ray Huger.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season nine reunion concludes Sunday, March 2, at 8/7c on Bravo.
