Married At First Sight sensation Ella Morgan has taken to social media with a series of nostalgic photos accompanying an impassioned message, where she expressed being "so proud" of herself upon reflecting on her personal growth. The reality star, who gained fame on MAFS in 2023 as the show's first transgender contestant, spoke candidly about her transformative life journey.
"Sometimes I inspire myself, like girl you went through all that and kept going (and always did it with a smile) You had to be that person to become this one Being transgender is not just a medical transition or about surgery and the way you look," penned Ella, 30, reports OK!. "It's discovering who you are, being brave and strong, living your life authentically, loving yourself inside and out, and spreading that love towards other people and accepting one another, no matter the difference.
She continued to share her thoughts, with the Celebs Go Dating alumna calling for "respect" in an assertive plea. "Some people will never get it, or understand. And that's fine. All I ask for is respect weather you get it or not. I am simply a girl who was born in the wrong body," she stated. "My outside now matches how I've always felt inside. I didn't want to become a girl - I AM and have always been a girl #Transgender #selflove #14yearsofElla #Trans #Ella."
In addition to her heartfelt statement, Ella shared a collection of photos from various stages of her life, including snapshots from her school days and images that seemed to depict her recovery from surgery. Friends of Ella quickly filled the comments section with messages of support and love in response to her emotional post.
"Keep shining beautiful girl, thank you for sharing your story with us all," wrote Lydia Bright. Anna Williamson chimed in with, "You are everything and more darling Ella," Tasha Ghouri commented, "The most beautiful soul! ! Love you so much," while fellow MAFS star Jay Howard added, "I'm so proud of you! Keep shining bright like a diamond baby girl."
Before her appearance on MAFS last year, Ella openly discussed her transition journey with OK! and other press outlets. "I knew I was a girl from about the age of six but I didn't know for a fact until I did sex education when I was about 12," she revealed. "Then at 16 I told my mum and dad that I couldn't bear life anymore and started transitioning from then. I was 20 when I had my surgery. I've been fully completed for quite some years now."
