John Janssen is speaking out about his past relationship with Shannon Beador. The Real Housewives of Orange County star has continuously criticized John since their breakup, and she also targeted Alexis Bellino at the recent RHOC Season 18 reunion.
One of the claims Shannon has repeatedly made about their romantic relationship is that she paid for "everything" when they first started dating. It’s those comments, among others, that John is addressing in his first interview since RHOC Season 18 ended. Here’s what he had to say: “People think I’m some poor loser living off Shannon, but I’m actually a successful entrepreneur with multiple businesses,” the businessman explained. “I built those businesses while raising three kids on my own and living a very active and wonderful life. I’ve never taken a dime from Shannon, and I never needed to. It’s a very different story than what people think.”
In response to Shannon’s claim that she "paid for everything," John continued, "That is completely untrue." He mentioned hiring a forensic accountant in the couple’s now-settled legal battle: "I reached a point where I felt it had gone too far, and I just wanted to put everything to rest once and for all."
“I paid for a forensic accountant to go through my work schedule, every credit card statement, and all of my bank statements to confirm what I actually spent – I didn’t know the number – I knew it was a big amount. But I didn’t know the exact figure. And in the end, it was $50,000 in the first year when we first started dating, and by the end of three and a half years, plus six months of friendship – let’s call it four years – I spent $380,000 on Shannon and our relationship.”
Additionally, John didn’t hold back in criticizing Shannon for repeatedly targeting Alexis Bellino, something he sees as unnecessary: “Shannon needs to leave Alexis Bellino alone. She keeps going after Alexis, and I just hope she’ll forget about me soon and stop bothering anyone else.”
Now though, John is looking forward to his future with fiancée Alexis. “This is the great part of my life. I have literally never been happier. I mean, Lex and I were so meant for each other. We literally are never apart. Zero hiccups; it was meant to be.”
And to that we say, quoting Mama Ru, good luck, and don’t f*ck it up!
