Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright awkwardly kept their distance from one another as they filmed “The Valley” together on Friday — just days after she filed for divorce.
Photos and video obtained by TMZ showed the cast having a field day, which included going zorbing, a recreational sport that involves rolling downhill inside a giant plastic sphere.
The outlet reported that Cartwright, 35, appeared to be in an upbeat, carefree mood while her estranged husband, 45, seemed to be in a “funk.”
They were reportedly trying to stay away from each other, as an eyewitness said a friend guided the mother of one away from Taylor when she unknowingly got too close.
Another source told TMZ that Taylor could be overheard telling co-star Kristen Doute that he checked into rehab in July because he was “going out of control.”
Cartwright filed for divorce from Taylor on Tuesday after five years of marriage, and about six months after she revealed the pair were “taking time apart.”
TMZ reported earlier this week that Taylor was served the divorce papers while filming the new season of “The Valley” at his and Cartwright’s sports bar, Jax’s Studio City.
“Jax is 100 percent on board with moving forward with the divorce,” a source exclusively told Page Six Wednesday.
“He’s been checked out from the marriage for a long time now. He just wants to have an amicable co-parent relationship.”
However, the insider conceded that both parties feel “sad” about their marriage ending because “neither one of them envisioned that for themselves.”
The pair tied the knot in Cartwright’s home state of Kentucky in June 2019 after four years of dating. They welcomed their son, Cruz, in April 2021.
