Philadelpia Eagles hero Jalen Hurts has wasted no time in putting in his preparations for next season as he returned for training - as teammate A.J. Brown opened up on their relationship.
The quarterback was instrumental in his team's landmark triumph at Super Bowl LIX, as the Eagles empathically stopped the Kansas City Chiefs' three-peat bid in its tracks in New Orleans. Avenging their loss in the 2023 edition of the Big Game, the victors pulled off a memorable 40-22 win.
Putting in a virtuoso showing in the showpiece, Hurts passed for 221 yards and two touchdowns, alongside completing 17-of-22 passes. After a career-defining performance at the Super Bowl, the 26-year-old is not resting on his laurels, as he was pictured returning to training just 14 days following the success at Caesars Superdome.
In a video shared to social media by the QB's brother Averion Jr., Hurts was shown being put through his paces during a visit to his alma mater, Channelview High School in Texas. As the superstar embraces the offseason, Eagles teammate Brown has spoken about his relationship with his colleague.
Their dynamic has been subject to intrigue among fans in the past, stemming back to a heated discussion between the pair when the Eagles faced the Vikings back in 2023. Their relations came under the microscope once again back in December, when Brown declared that Philadelphia's offense needed to improve its "passing".
Following on from this, Eagles ace Brandon Graham revealed that things had "changed" between "friends" Hurts and Brown after this remark. Now, the latter has cleared up the issue, saying on "Million Dollaz Worth of Game": "I'd be sitting up here lying telling you we never had any issues.

"We're two alphas who want to be the best, and demand greatness from each other and everyone around us. Some reports are true, some reports aren't. But me and him are good man. We just wanna be great. We push each other, and sometimes we bump heads, but that's normal. And don't nobody sweat it.
"It's normal, but with the history of this team, with [Donovan] McNabb and [Terrell Owens], everything is magnified times ten, but that's not the case."
He added: "In the end, things come right on time. The last time around, it wasn’t our time. It wasn’t my time. Sometimes you have to accept that you have to wait your turn."
As for Hurts, he paid tribute to his colleagues following their stunning Super Bowl win, saying: "Dealing with everything that came with the last Super Bowl, you still kind of leave empty, because as great of a performance it was, it wasn’t enough to win.
"I think going through those emotions and processing those things and processing that experience lit a great flame in me and enhanced my desire to win significantly.”
