There has been much talk about Summer House season 9. This is especially true for newbie Imrul Hassan, thanks to some of his behavior in the house.

As fans know, Imrul has gained a reputation for being a bit of a womanizer on Summer House. This is so prevalent that multiple cast members have mentioned it in interviews.

On Thursday, April 24, the Summer House cast filmed the season 9 reunion, and the men went out to dinner with Bravo host Andy Cohen afterwards. However, Imrul was noticeably absent in the picture, which made many fans wonder what went down at the reunion that led to his absence.

Recently, the Instagram account Cici.Loves.You took to the platform to share why Imrual wasn’t in the photos with the rest of the men from Summer House, following the reunion being filmed.

They included screenshots of his responses. Their caption starts, “Loves! Y’all asked, so I got you the tea. A lot of you guys noticed that @imrul.hassan wasn’t in the post reunion picture that was posted where all the boys went for drinks with Andy Cohen. You wanted to know why.. here it is!”

The post goes on, “I also want to take this moment to say that I think Imrul is great and he has so much more to offer than what they chose to show on Summer House.”

Regarding Imrul’s reasoning for not being in the pictures, he said, “I left early, a few hours before they wrapped, so that’s part of it.” He was then pressed for the other part of his absence, to which he replied, “I mean, I dunno. I’m gonna chalk it up to that and move on. It’s all good.”

He then said, “I’m so glad I did it and got some publicity and a platform for my English school, that was always my big goal in all of this.”

The post from the Cici.Loves.You account then says that Summer House only showed one aspect of who Imrul is and that his school deserves more attention than it has gotten. There are also pictures of the school, which is being built in Bangladesh, included, as well as a link to a GoFundMe for donations. So far, he has raised $7,800, coming close to his goal of $10,000.

Many fans in the comments were shocked by this revelation about the Summer House newbie and how he wants to help the world. One person said, “And Summer House left this sweet information out because…?”

Someone else replied, “I have to admit I did not enjoy Imrul on the show due to his antics; however, it’s great to see how humble he is and what he has done for his community, especially as a fellow poc, it’s great to see another side of him.”

Fans can watch new episodes of Summer House on Wednesday nights.
