Alex Bowen appeared in the second series of Love Island in 2016 when he fell for his now-wife Olivia. The pair were runners up on the series and have been married for six years.
The couple have a son, Abel, and are expecting their second child later this year.
Reflecting on his time on the ITV series, Alex admitted bosses had to beg him three times to appear.
He told Radio Times: " I actually didn’t want to go on the show at first.
"I was working as a scaffolder and the production team messaged me about three times. One day it was raining, I was covered in mud, I was cold and wet and they messaged me at the right time."

Alex added he felt he was "in a bubble" while filming Love Island as there were no clocks on the walls and the islanders were forced to talk about subjects you usually wouldn't approach until later on in a relationship.
"They said, “You’ll like Olivia.” I was shown as the one that messes things up at first and then finds love."

Earlier this year, Alex spoke to OK! about becoming a father for the second time and the heartbreak of losing one of their twins.
He explained: "It’s a shock to find out that you’re having twins, so we were really scared when we found out.
"I remember being on the way home from a scan, thinking I couldn’t wait to see our three kids in the back of the car – imagining the twins there.

"I built it up in my head thinking it was 100% happening, so, when we found out that we had lost one, it was really difficult. It’s hard to navigate because you’ve got one healthy baby in there, which you have to focus on, but you’ve also lost one.
"It was a really weird time, but now we have to focus on the little girl that’s coming. That’s the main thing."
Alex and Olivia are yet to decide on a name for their baby girl as they said "it's such a struggle" but they have three names they currently like.
Love Island continues weeknights on ITV2 at 9pm. Read the full interview with Alex Bowen in Radio Times, out now.
