Below Deck Sailing Yacht recently returned to Bravo for its fifth season. Like the other shows in the Below Deck universe, this one is a fan favorite and still pulls in viewers. Recently, Gary King took to social media to call out the show’s editors for removing his scenes from the final cut. He’s not the first Bravo star to complain about being absent from the show despite filing quite a bit. However, there is a good reason this may be happening.

Fans will recall that Gary joined the show during its second season as first mate. He has since been accused of sexual misconduct by a production member. Naturally, this could be why he’s being edited out of the show.

According to US Weekly, the scorned Below Deck Sailing Yacht star posted on Instagram about being removed from episodes after seeing a screener. In the post, he called the allegations against him “lies.”

He wrote, “Sad to see this has all been edited out of tonight’s episode. Scary how one person’s lies can ruin someone’s career and livelihood. Oh well my head is held I’m high as I know the truth. Karma will get ya, anyways.”

Gary also thinks this will continue to happen, and he wrote in his Instagram post, “Seeing as most of me will probably be edited out of this season 😢 I will try post as much as possible to show you all what you’re missing out on 🤗.”

For context, the allegations against Gary came to light last year. Multiple former employees had stories against him and said that Bravo and the production company tried to cover up his wrongdoing.

One person said, “It was insane. There were multiple incidents of sexual harassment in front of multiple producers after this person had been given verbal warnings multiple times. I had to promote and make this guy who just assaulted someone look awesome. That was my job, to make this person look cool, capable and exciting.”

Notably, Samantha Suarez detailed her interactions with him. She said she was put in charge of looking after Gary when he became drunk after filming. According to her account, she was with him in his room, and he refused to let her leave. She said he even “pressed himself against her.” She told producers, and they forced him to sleep on the ship instead of in his hotel room.

Bravo issued a statement at the time, saying, “Bravo is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for cast and crew on our reality shows. We require our third-party production companies to have appropriate workplace policies and trainings in place and a clear process on how to report concerns. The concerns Ms. Suarez raised in July 2022 were investigated at that time, and action was taken based on the findings.”

Of course, Gary has denied all of this.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs on Monday nights on Bravo.
