Former Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr Makes Headlines With An Emotional Message Following The Horrific Attack In New Orleans - suong

On New Year's Day, the city of New Orleans was, unfortunately, a victim of an act of terrorism, leading to at least 10 people dead after a driver drove a truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street.

Former Raiders quarterback and current Saint Derek Carr sent a message to the city after finding out about the tragedy.

Carr said he woke up to see the devastating news on TV the next morning, and he sent his thoughts and prayers.

"Prayers for New Orleans," wrote Carr. "Woke up and saw the news this morning."

Carr has only been with the Saints for two full seasons now, but he has made it clear how much he loves the city of New Orleans and the people in it.

His teammate, star defender Cam Jordan, also sent his prayers to the city saying, "Woke up to texts about what happened on Bourbon Street last night, God bless! A pure tragedy, sorry to all those loves that were affected."
