While Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby appears happy with the team hiring Pete Carroll as head coach, until he gets a new contract, he's going to be the subject of trade rumors. If the team is willing to consider trading him, there will be no shortage of interested teams.
Notably, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported over the weekend that a Crosby trade is possible and specifically pointed out the Green Bay Packers as a team that could interest him. Notably, former teammates Keisean Nixon and Josh Jacobs are in Green Bay now. That's not to mention that former Raiders interim head coach, who Crosby is very close with, Rich Bisaccia is the team's special teams coordinator.
Nixon caught wind of Rapoport and Pelissero's report and sent a message to Crosby on X.
"Come Be Great Wit A Real Team My Boi…," Nixon wrote.
That's certainly a not-so-subtle shot at the Raiders franchise. That said, the Packers have won far more games than the Raiders since Crosby has been in the NFL.
If the goal is to win, the Packers would make sense for the star defensive end. That said, they would have to pay a pretty penny to make it happen. In the end, it's difficult to see a scenario where the Raiders don't figure out how to keep Crosby happy in Las Vegas.
