Erika Jayne shared a series of red heart emoji in the comments section of Diana Jenkins‘ announcement regarding the $100,000 she’s donating to Thomas Girardi‘s fraud victims, specifically the widows and orphans he’s accused of embezzling $2 million from. But, according to a just-“liked” comment on Instagram, things aren’t exactly “honky dory” between them.
After the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie shared the news of her donation on Wednesday, ahead of the new episode which is expected to show Erika screaming about how she doesn’t “give a f-ck about anybody” but herself, Erika appeared to ‘like’ a shady comment from a fan, who slammed Diana as “phony” and “not smart.”
“It’s phony. She knew about this as she brought up the dinner party when Erika threatened Sutton at Kathy’s house last season. She’s just not smart,” the comment read, via a screenshot shared by Bravo and Cocktails on Instagram.
Following the sharing of a press release, Diana took to her Instagram page to further confirm her donation.
“I was not aware of this tragedy until it became a topic of conversation on RHOBH. I feel so much sympathy for the widows and orphans left behind. I know firsthand the pain and suffering that accompanies the loss of a family member, having lost my brother in the closing days of the Bosnian War. I want to do what I can to support those people who suffered so much,” she wrote, encouraging her fans and followers to visit Sunelafoundation.org.
Erika’s shady “like” came just as an insider close to Diana told Page Six that the gift to Thomas’ victims is “not a dig” at Erika.
“It’s actually meant to send a message to the cast members who have expressed support for Tom’s alleged victims, but never seem to do anything to help them,” the source explained, seemingly giving a nod to Sutton Stracke, Garcelle Beauvais, and Crystal Kung Minkoff, all of whom have questioned Erika about the role she potentially played in Thomas’ fraud scams.
Although Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards have also expressed support for the victims, they haven’t been nearly as inquisitive of Erika.
Diana “came in late” to the conversations,” the insider continued. “Diana now wonders, ‘Well, if you feel so bad for the victims, what are you doing to help?’”
According to the source, Diana’s assistance to the victims hasn’t negatively impacted her friendship with Erika.
“If anybody’s speculating that this donation affects Diana’s friendship with Erika, it doesn’t,” they insisted.
