Dr. Nicole Martin revealed a co-star “hired a private investigator” to find dirt on her and “drop [a] bomb” on Real Housewives of Miami to “level up her friend status.” She also hinted that this was a reason she quit the show.

Before the new season began filming, Nicole confirmed her exit from RHOM. At the time, she revealed she was having anxiety after the birth of her daughter, Genevieve. During her three seasons as a main castmate, Nicole seemed to feud the most with Marysol Patton and Alexia Nepola.

“When we started putting the pieces together, we’re like, what is happening? Like, why are we being followed?” recalled Nicole on her Scrubs to Stilettos podcast, via @bravosnarkside on Instagram.

She continued, “One of my castmates confessed to me that the other castmate had told her that she had hired a private investigator because she wanted to move from a friend role to a full-time role and she felt like if she had this secret … and she could drop this bomb, that that would be like the thing she needed to like level up her friend status. [It was] wild.”

Her co-host Tiffany Moon called this “evil [and] vindictive.” Nicole then suggested that it contributed to her decision to quit.

“And that was part of [why] I was starting to have a lot of anxiety filming because, for me, I was like, these are not my friends. Well, at least not everybody. I’m not speaking about the whole cast,” she said. “I’m speaking about certain members of the cast, because Julia and I were very good friends, Adriana de MouraGuerdy’s one of my very good friends. Lisa [too], like I had beautiful friendships with some of these women, but some of them were really antagonistic and were really out for blood.”

As of now, there are only three ‘friends’ in the cast: Adriana, Kiki Barth, and Marysol. Some fans are speculating that Nicole is referring to Marysol, as she’s the only ‘friend’ with whom Nicole is still feuding. Nothing, however, has been confirmed.

New episodes of The Real Housewives of Miami air Wednesdays on Bravo.
