"Dr. Jackie's Swift Decision: Filing for Divorce Just 3 Days After Discovering Husband's Infidelity"-quang

The Married to Medicine star told Andy Cohen she’s leaning on her costars for support.

Dr. Jackie Walters didn’t waste any time filing for divorce.

During an appearance on Sunday’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Married to Medicine star revealed that after she learned her husband Curtis Berry had a mistress, she filed for divorce just three days later.

“On day three,” she said. “Yes, day three.”

She also opened up about how supportive all of her friends on the show have been.

“I can honestly say they’ve all met a need [of mine] in some way,” she said. “Obviously, I’ve known Simone [Whitmore] well and Heavenly [Kimes] has become a great friend, so I’ve talked to them a lot.”

And even though Walters is often the friend people turn to in times of need, she said that doesn’t make her immune to needing a little support herself sometimes.

“Strong people need strong people,” she said.

Later on in the episode, Cohen played a clip from the show in which Berry sent Walters a Louis Vuitton tote bag and Swarovski jewelry, asking the reality star whether the gifts helped her heart recover.

“Well, a girl always loves a gift — but help my heart, no,” she replied, before adding that “it was definitely helpful to know he was trying something.”

But that doesn’t mean she’s not going to keep the gifts.

“Oh, I carry them everywhere I go!” she said.

Earlier this month, Walters opened up to PEOPLE exclusively about Berry’s infidelity.

“I didn’t intend to share it,” the OB/GYN and two-time breast cancer survivor said. “However, it was addressed. It’s one of those things that you do better than healing in private than you do allowing the public to share it. So yeah, tough is … tough is probably an understatement.”

And while fans will have to watch to see what happens on Married to Medicine, Walters admitted she’s still working through a long journey to forgiveness.

“If you asked me to describe Dr. Jackie in season 5, I think my line would be, ‘Dr. Jackie gets to decide on the courage to forgive vs. the freedom not to,’ ” she said.

But the one thing Walters isn’t doing is blaming herself for Berry’s affair.

“I have refused to own any rights to that choice that Curtis made,” she said. “I firmly think infidelity damages a relationship because there are a host of conditions and qualifications and considerations that you have to go through and ask, ‘What is it that got my significant other to that place?’ So I own none of it. Infidelity to me is a choice. I cannot make you make a choice. You choose to respond, nobody made you respond that way.”

Married to Medicine airs Fridays (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
