Dr. Heavenly Kimes Announces Run For Georgia State Representative as Married to Medicine Star Releases Campaign Video

Production for season 12 of Married to Medicine is currently underway, which means the cast is quite busy these days. However, it seems Dr. Heavenly Kimes has aspirations beyond the show and her dental practice, as she has just announced a run for political office in Georgia. Plus, she also has a surprising campaign manager.

Season 11 of Married to Medicine concluded in April of this year. As is the case with most reality television shows these days, production began shortly after on the upcoming season, which won’t see Lateasha ‘Sweet Tea’ Lunceford return to the cast.

According to PEOPLE, Dr. Heavenly, 54, has announced that she’s running for Georgia State Representative in District 93. The well-known dentist and reality star said in a statement, “I’m not a career politician. I’m a mom, a doctor, a business owner — and I’m not afraid to stand up for what I believe in.”

She added, “I’m running to serve, and I’m ready to work.”

Dr. Heavenly will hold a campaign rally on July 8 at 5 p.m. outside the Georgia State Capitol in Downtown Atlanta. The event is open to the public, and she urged people to support her by wearing “Dr. Heavenly for Georgia” T-shirts. She also said they should “bring their energy for an unforgettable moment in Atlanta history.”

So, what exactly is Dr. Heavenly’s platform? She stated that it will focus on healthcare, economics, education, and support for small businesses in her district. Her statement continued, “I’ve spent my life helping people build confidence, start businesses, and take control of their futures. Now I’m bringing that same passion to the State Capitol. District 93 deserves someone who’s not just talking, but doing.”

It then said, “Our people deserve real representation, someone who understands both the struggles and the solutions.”

She also revealed that her campaign manager will be none other than Quad Webb

Dr. Heavenly has also released a campaign video ahead of her first rally. In it, she’s wearing a white dress and a black blazer. She begins by saying, “I’m ready, and I’m walking in my purpose. I bring a unique and needed voice.” Heavenly can also be seen shaking hands with constituents and seemingly explaining her platform. She also calls her run for office “a call from God.”
