Teresa Giudice has her limits.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 53, abruptly ended a live interview with Chicago’s WGN News on Friday, June 20, when one of the anchors brought up her history of legal issues. In a clip of the segment, Teresa can be seen getting visibly upset before ending the call while live on air.

“How is it that a family doesn’t pay their taxes for years?” the anchor, Larry Potash, asked.

“What family are you talking about?” Teresa responded, to which he clarified, “I’m talking about your family. Isn’t that what the fraud charges were?”

The reality star, who was on Zoom, then immediately declared that she was "hanging up." As her screen went black, Potash quipped: “She didn’t like that question.”

PEOPLE has reached out to Teresa's rep for comment.

Teresa has been to prison for financial crimes in the past.

In 2014, Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in prison after she and her ex-husband, Joe Giudice, were found guilty of mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud, though she ended up only serving 11 months. When she completed her time a year later, Joe began his 41-month sentence.

He was released in 2019, but the pair — who share four daughters, Gia, 23, Gabriella, 20, Milania, 19, and Audriana, 15 — separated after 20 years of marriage. Joe then moved to Italy following a deportation battle, and now resides in the Bahamas.

Meanwhile, Teresa went on to marry her current husband, Luis "Louie" Ruelas, in 2022.

In March of this year, PEOPLE reported that Teresa and Louie were each issued tax liens totaling $3 million, with Teresa owing $303,889.20 and Louie owing nearly $2.6 million. Louie also has an open case for $163,523.94 from December 2024.

Luis Ruelas and Teresa Giudice are seen on July 9, 2024 in New York City.

Teresa's daughter insisted there is no need for concern toward her mom.

While Teresa and Louie have stayed quiet about the debt, her 24-year-old daughter, Gia Giudice, addressed the news on her Casual Chaos podcast later that month.

"My mom has been the sole provider for my sisters and I since the minute my father left for prison," Gia said, adding that her mom has been "working her a-- off to make sure that my sisters and I live a stable life and that my family is financially stable.”

"I can't stress enough how much my mom has worked," she continued. "Everything will be resolved. My mom has everything under control and there's nothing to worry about.”

Gia also noted that Louie, who she called “the most amazing stepfather,” was “also working on getting everything resolved.”

"We're doing perfectly fine over here,” she concluded, affirming that there was "nothing to worry about" and "everything's going to be fine.”
