Dorit Reveals the *Real* Reason She Doesn’t Consider Teddi a “Good Friend”

After Dorit Kemsley and Teddi Mellencamp's friendship status became a hot topic on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, more information about where they stand is being revealed on the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show.

During Season 14, Episode 4 of RHOBH, Dorit and Kyle Richards continued their argument about the drama going on between them, which happened to involve Teddi as well. During the tense conversation about Dorit not sticking up for Teddi at BravoCon 2023, Kyle was surprised to hear Dorit claim that she and the RHOBH alum aren't close friends.

Later, Dorit unpacked the conversation during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, noting that — while she considers Teddi a "friend" — she's not a "good" one.

“I wouldn’t categorize Teddi and I as good friends. I didn’t say that we weren’t friends. In fact, I didn’t even know up until that point that Teddi was mad at me — until Kyle told me that she was sour about me not defending her at BravoCon," Dorit explained. "I had no idea, so, that was a shock to me."

Why Dorit Kemsley was called out for sharing Teddi Mellencamp's Instagram post

Teddi's name was once again mentioned in the episode the women's last dinner in Oceanside, California. Garcelle Beauvais brought up that Dorit had recently reposted Teddi's Instagram video promoting John Mellencamp's tour. Although Dorit appeared in the video, Garcelle was surprised to see it shared by Dorit given her claims that she and Teddi aren't close.

"She tagged me. Just like I would ordinarily, I reposted it," Dorit explained. "She's absolutely my friend. I don't think she would characterize our friendship as super close. But I saw it. It was to promote her father and I'm happy to promote her father's concert so I reposted it."

A split of Dorit Kemsley and Teddi Mellencamp.

During the After Show, she stood her ground.

"When she posted and tagged me, it felt like there was no bad blood between us," Dorit said. "And it felt like, OK, she’s promoting her father’s upcoming tour. And, you know, I have zero issue with reposting it."
