Craig Conover's backyard is a major point of pride for him. It's also a sanctuary for him and his long-distance girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo, for when they meet up in his current home city of Charleston or for when they entertain guests, like Madison LeCroy.
In a preview for Southern Charm Season 10, Episode 3, as seen in the video above, Craig showed off just how gorgeous his backyard has become, and just how much Paige has been enjoying it with him. In the video, Craig can be seen cleaning out leaves from his pool, while Paige hung out in his beautiful outdoor kitchen, scrolling on her phone, in front of a plate of fruit.
"Looking good, baby," Craig said of his pool.
But this backyard isn't just a place for Craig to chill out — it's a place for him to get closer to Paige. "For Paige and I, time spent in the backyard is, you know, that's our quality time," he explained during a confessional.
Craig explained, during a confessional, that the backyard is the one true place for them to relax. "When Paige and I first started dating, we were out and about all the time," he said. "We've just grown with each other, where we'd rather spend the time at home, relaxing, than out partying."
"You know, I built this sanctuary for us, to be away from the world, and be able to relax and connect," he concluded.
In the video preview, Craig is spotted on his miniature outdoor putting green, noting that he needed to do a little more maintenance on it to keep it looking perfect. Although he can be just a little critical about making his backyard look perfect, the photos from the backyard are enough evidence that it looks amazing.
The backyard also includes said outdoor kitchen, complete with its own kitchen island with a striped awning covering it, as well as a built-in grill with a TV hanging above it. Leave it to Craig to not skimp on any of the details.
Although Craig has teased about getting engaged to Paige in the future, he revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in December 2024 that he is not planning an engagement any time soon. "I am happy representing the couple that we are now, like just dating a strong, independent, career-driven woman," he said during the Dec. 12 episode.
He continued, noting that those timelines were made by him, not by Paige. "I think a lot of those timelines, they were definitely forced by me, and I didn't know any better," he said. "I mean, I've said that before, but also, society, I don't know — this is what I'll admit now. I have no idea what's going on at any point in time. We live for the week instead of obsessing for the future."
Craig further admitted to E! News on Dec. 9 that he has no plans for getting down on one knee. "I don't have a ring," he said. "I would like to one day."
Despite the heartfelt gesture of building a "five-figure" sanctuary for Paige DeSorbo, Craig Conover and Paige's relationship ultimately could not withstand the challenges they faced. Their love story, once full of promise, took an unexpected turn, leading to a bittersweet ending. The sanctuary, now a poignant reminder of their shared past, stands as a symbol of love and effort that couldn't bridge the growing distance between them. Fans of the couple were left surprised and saddened by the news, as the pair officially decided to go their separate ways, marking the end of a chapter that many hoped would last forever
