"Cynthia Bailey speaks out about rumors of Mike Hill having an affair before filing for divorce"

   

Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill.“Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum Cynthia Bailey denied rumors that cheating played a role in her split from estranged husband Mike Hill.

The Bravo star, 55, addressed the speculation in her first interview since telling fans she filed for divorce on Wednesday.

“There was no infidelity to my knowledge. Mike never had sex with another woman during our marriage,” she told People.

“At the end of the day, it just came down to a number of things. And I respect Mike and respect our marriage too much to go into the details of those things, but it was nothing scandalous, we just outgrew each other,” Bailey continued, noting it was “not a tragic ending” for the pair, who got married in 2020.


The Bravolebrity also explained that their marriage was “bicoastal for a long time.”Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill.

“Once we were able to be with each other on a more consistent basis — and we started really, really getting to know each other — we realized we weren’t as compatible as we thought we were,” she said. “So we did something about it, simple as that.”

The supermodel-turned-actress was adamant that she and Hill, 52, made the right decision, and that their divorce was a sign of how much they “love and respect each other.”Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill.

“[We] were brave enough and loved one another enough to make that choice together. The beauty of the whole situation is Mike and I, we learned from our previous relationships,” Bailey said, referencing her first husband, Peter Thomas, whom she was married to 2010 to 2017.

“[We] were married for almost eight years and we struggled a lot of those years; I didn’t want to wait eight years to figure out that it’s not woking or we’re not as compatible as we thought we were. And Mike’s the same way.”Cynthia Bailey, Mike Hill

The reality star, whose fairytale romance with the talk show host was documented on “RHOA,” said she was actually better suited to being friends from Hills.

“When I met Mike, I jumped into this relationship very excited,” Bailey explained..

“I felt like he was the male version of me, somebody I could have fun with. And marriage wasn’t really something I was focused on, but I jumped into the relationship with both feet because I don’t know any other way to do it other than to be all in.”

The Black News Channel personality popped the question in July 2019 after 14 months of dating.

They tied the knot in a ceremony on Oct. 10, 2020, which was featured on the 14th season of the Bravo show.
