Craig Conover is putting his energy into home renovations and creative projects as he moves forward from his highly publicized split with “Summer House” star Paige DeSorbo. While their breakup has been the subject of Bravo fan chatter and recent reunion drama, the “Southern Charm” star is focusing on crafting a new chapter—both personally and professionally—starting with his Charleston home.
Craig Conover Is Focusing on Home Renovations and a New Collaboration
Though Conover’s split from DeSorbo in late 2024 ended their three-year relationship, one of the lasting connections they shared was a joint vision for his Charleston home. Before their breakup, DeSorbo had been very involved in helping Conover design and decorate the space.
Now, Conover is continuing to update the house on his own—and leaning into the things he loves most. Speaking with Better Homes & Gardens, Conover revealed that he revamped his beloved sewing room. “I did just revamp my sewing room and turn it into a studio, because I want to bring down imaginary, but also real barriers, into creating and crafting,” he explained. “So every week I’ll learn a new craft and teach everyone.”
Previously, Conover had shown off the room to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, highlighting how it housed his podcasting and embroidery setup. However, the new studio provides him with even more creative freedom.
Beyond the studio, Conover is also embracing life in his backyard. “I’m having a big gardening moment,” he shared. “It’s just spring time, it’s like my happy place out in the garden.” Watching his plants grow and harvesting his own produce has become one of his favorite new hobbies. “When you see the sprouts come through the soil, you’re just hooked,” he added. “And eating something that you grow is just awesome. I don’t know why I love it, but I just do.”
This wave of creativity extends beyond home life. Conover recently fulfilled a longtime dream by launching a fashion collaboration through his company, Sewing Down South, with Belk’s private label, Crown & Ivy. The collection features more than 100 pieces of apparel. “My desire was always to make clothes,” Conover Entertainment Now exclusively. “To be able to finally do a clothing collection is a dream come true… This is kind of my return-to-Charleston collection.”

Meanwhile, DeSorbo is making her own changes post-breakup. During the “Summer House” season 9 reunion, she confirmed that she is leaving the show and distanced herself further from Conover.
During the reunion, DeSorbo spoke candidly about how Conover reacted to their breakup, saying, “If anyone defended me, he unfollowed them and cut off all communication.” Castmates Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke confirmed they experienced this firsthand.
As rumors swirled after the breakup, DeSorbo noted that Conover remained silent when cheating accusations surfaced. “He did not need to defend me. He could have just said, ‘No, she didn’t cheat on me,'” she told Andy Cohen. “But I really didn’t need him leaning into, ‘She wanted other people.’ I didn’t break up with him for other people.”
On the reunion stage, DeSorbo made it clear she’s done addressing her ex. “You’ll never hear me say his name again,” she declared.
While DeSorbo steps away from reality TV for now, Conover is already filming the next season of “Southern Charm.”
Fans are also buzzing about his chemistry with “Southern Charm” castmate Salley Carson, sparking speculation about a possible new romance.
