The New York Jets' season hasn't gone as planned or desired. After getting Aaron Rodgers back from an Achilles injury that cost him all of the 2023 season, the Jets have limped to a 3-8 record in a year where expectations were at an all-time high. And now, he reportedly wants out.

Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports that Aaron Rodgers wants to play in 2025, but he doesn't want to play for the Jets. Which begs the question - could the Cleveland Browns be in play for Rodgers in 2025?

It's clear that one way or another, the Deshaun Watson experiment needs to end, and very well could finally be over after he tore his Achilles and the Browns' offense has gotten more production with Jameis Winston under center. With that said, Winston isn't the long-term answer. And while Rodgers isn't either, it would give the sense that the Browns could go all in for 2025.

Rodgers hasn't met expectations himself this season, currently sitting with a passer rating under 90. However, how much of it is just playing for the Jets with bad coaching? Going to Cleveland with a strong head coach in Kevin Stefanski with a good offense that will lean more on the run game and a defense that is very good when healthy could work and help the Browns get back to the playoffs.
