Captain Glenn & Daisy Kelliher Scold This Below Deck Sailing Yacht Star Amid Red Flags & Signs He’s A Producer Plant

Below Deck Sailing Yacht stars Captain Glenn Shephard and Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher are scolding this fellow yachtie after they’ve shown some major red flags and signs of being a producer plant. Throughout Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, there have been some signs that several cast members have dealt with production interference. Even though their actions have been noticeable, the cast of the season has been an interesting mix of new yachties and seasoned veterans, and their camaraderie has been fascinating as it’s formed thus far this season. Some of the crew, however, have shown major red flags already.

In a preview clip for the next episode of Bravo’s Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, Captain Glenn and Daisy are both struggling to understand how Chef Cloyce Martin is continually making such major mistakes. Daisy, meeting with Cloyce in the crew’s dining area, shared her disappointment with Cloyce’s choices for meals, explaining, “If he understood what [the guests] wanted, I think he’d be able to deliver it.” While Cloyce disagreed with Daisy’s assessment, Captain Glenn doubled down on the criticism, sharing, “I want you to focus on prepping better,” after sharing he felt Cloyce struggled with the last charter.

What Captain Glenn & Daisy’s Warnings Mean For Chef Cloyce’s Job

He’s In Danger Of Termination

Although Chef Cloyce shared that he’s struggling with the criticism from Daisy and Glenn, he should take the fact that both have spoken up about his issues as a good sign. Rather than simply letting Cloyce go, Captain Glenn has been giving him feedback and hoping that the Chef can make a turnaround. Daisy, the Chief Stew aboard Parsifal III, could be taking her issues directly to the Captain, but instead is reaching out to Cloyce herself to see where she can help. Offering assistance rather than simply criticizing should be a positive for the Below Deck chef.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Instead of taking the critique and trying to change his ways, though, Cloyce appears to be struggling with the criticism to the point that he may not take their feedback and run with it. While Cloyce is a capable chef, his immaturity and inability to take criticism is a bad sign for his time on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Rather than implementing new processes or taking note of what the rest of the crew is telling him, Chef Cloyce may continue to proceed in the same way he’s been working all along, which could eventually cost him his job.

Our Take On Chef Cloyce Not Living Up To Captain Glenn’s Expectations

Cloyce Should Be Taking Note Of The Criticism

Although Chef Cloyce is still newer in the field, his inability to manage the expectations put forth by Captain Glenn is a bad sign for his future in the franchise, as well as the yachting industry. Though it’s possible the chef is a producer plant, and Cloyce has been told to do a poor job with his directed work, it’s also possible that he’s simply having a hard time and refusing help. Cloyce may not be long for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 if his meals don’t begin to live up to the proper standard.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
