Canucks GM Calls J.T. Miller Fiasco ‘Unfortunate’ With Rangers Trade Rumors Running Wild

The New York Rangers have gotten themselves looped into the Vancouver Canucks fiasco with J.T. Miller.Tocchet on JT Miller: 'It feels like every time he's on the ice, something bad happens'

All this drama stems from a reported feud between Miller and Elias Pettersson that the organization allowed the media to spiral out of control.

Now, Miller is the talk of the town as he’s been the subject of multiple trade rumors. Even the Rangers reportedly had a deal for Miller in the works before it ultimately fell through.

Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin is not happy with everything that has transpired with his team.

"It's very unfortunate. I feel bad for a lot of players when you're reading rumours out there," Allvin said in his mid-season press conference. "I'm proud of the guys they're capable of blocking a lot of noise out and just go out and play. We want to create an environment where they feel safe and trusted. The players have galvanized and played extremely well under the circumstances."

While not diving into specifics about trading the 31-year-old forward, Allvin refused to rule any move out of the equation.

“I'm not going to go into any specifics and comments on any talks around the league, but since I got here, I'm always trying to explore how to make our team better and see if it makes sense or not,” Allvin said.

Speculation is continuing to pick up steam regarding Miller’s future with no real indication of how and when this wild ride will come to an end.
