The Las Vegas Raiders’ 2024 season is over, with the team finishing the campaign with just four wins against 13 losses. It’s far from the ideal record the Raiders dreamed of having this season but at least they know they have a gem in rookie tight end Brock Bowers.
The former Georgia Bulldogs star had himself quite a rookie season in the NFL. In Week 18’s game on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Bowers set the NFL record for most catches by a rookie, as officially noted by the Raiders.
Bowers’ first year in the NFL was closely followed by a lot of people, including, of course, his girlfriend, Cameron Rose Newell, who posted her picture with Bowers outside the Raiders’ home following the Chargers game.
“Rookie season,” Newell captioned the photo that she shared via Instagram Story.
The 22-year-old Bowers did not factor much in the Raiders’ offense in the early goings of the contest against the Chargers.
He was only able to get his first catch in the third quarter but he found a way to set the NFL record and finish the game with 50 receiving yards and a touchdown on four receptions and nine targets.
Overall in the 2024 campaign, Bowers had 1,194 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 112 catches through 17 games.
