As Bravo fans know, there has been a ton of drama surrounding Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright. The couple filed for divorce ahead of season two of The Valley, and they both recently did explosive tell-all interviews. Now, Brittany is responding to what Jax had to say.

Jax had quite a bit to say about Brittany in his interview. Perhaps the most notable comment was when he said she tried to hook up with him amid their separation. She responded that she was trying to be a good co-parenting partner with him.

Recently, Brittany took to her podcast, When Reality Hits with Zack Wickham, and she had quite a bit to say about Jax and his comments about her. One of the juiciest parts came when she responded to him saying she wanted to hook up with her.

According to Brittany, “Let me say this. Of course, Jax said that. Of course, he wanted to throw me out there and throw me under the bus because everything is so public, so he’s trying to make it look like, ‘Oh, well, Brittany texted me about hooking up, so I must not be that bad of a person.’”

She added that Jax was the one who wanted to hook up with her.

“Jax actually texted me first, saying that he wanted to hook up. It did not happen. I had a weak moment one time, and I did say something,” Brittany said.

“I did have a weak moment one time where I was like, maybe we should just so that, you know, just like a hate. I don’t want to say the f-word. It did not happen. We did not hook up. So, but he said it to me first.”

She added, “And of course, he goes on that podcast and tries to out me and make me look like that I was, like, trying to hook up with him all the time. It was a one-time thing. He said it to me first, and it never happened. I want to make sure that is very, very clear.”

She then discussed the timeline Jax tried to portray in his interview.

“Yeah, he was like, like three days ago. And also we recorded these podcasts. I recorded my podcast with Alex in September. So I had recorded that over a month or so ago. I’ve even lost weight since then.”

She then admitted that it’s okay to have “weak moments” from time to time, especially given how long she and Jax were together. However, she said she would never allow it to happen again.

Brittany and Zack then discussed Jax saying he hadn’t had any outbursts since being out of rehab. They discussed how she received some outbursts via text before she blocked him.

According to Brittany, “Number one, the outbursts that he had via text in rehab were outrageous. We’re, like, the back and forth. It was insane. Love bombing, love, or like hate bombing. Like, it was crazy.”

She continued, “Yeah, he would love bomb me, and then he would rage text me. Love bomb me, rage text me. And then another thing he said on the podcast is he said that he noticed he was doing that to me and stopped halfway through while he was in his stay at the mental health facility.”

Brittany then said, “That’s not true. What actually happened was that he was rage-texting me so much, and he only had two weeks left in the facility. So I blocked him.”

She added, “That’s the only reason the rage texting stopped is because I blocked his phone number so he could not contact me whatsoever anymore. So him acting like that he stopped because he noticed what he was doing is yet another false narrative because that’s not what happened.”

Brittany also addressed some of the hate comments she has received thanks to the podcast interview. She said, “And I feel like I’ve gotten a lot of hate from a lot of people that listen to the podcast and stuff. Underneath there, the comments were so negative. And a lot of the comments were saying stuff, like, you guys shouldn’t be bashing each other for your son and all this stuff.”

She then went further and said, “And I’m like, you know what? We were filming a TV show and Jax was well aware that we were filming a TV show and that this was going to air to millions of people. And he still did the things that he did to me. So why would I not be able to talk about my side? Because his son will know these things for himself.”

Some fans have brought up their son and said that this public fighting will harm him. However, Brittany said he is protected from much of the drama.

“Oh yeah, in front of Cruz, I try to do my best with co-parenting, and it can be extremely hard because Jax is not easy. And he’s not going to make this easy for me. And I’m just trying my best in front of our son to not let him see me angry and not let him see me upset.”

She added that she felt it was important to share her story because of the number of abused women who need to see the action she had to take to get away from Jax.

Later, Brittany also said that she previously tried to get Jax to go to rehab. However, he was against the idea and perhaps didn’t think he needed it.

According to Zack, “We basically had asked him to go in two months prior to filming.”

Brittany then added, “He refused. And not only that, he gave credit to everybody but me for him going in there, whenever I am the one who forced him to go. So it just really upset me that he was giving credit to all these people whenever it was me because I want him to get better.”

“I want him to be better for my son. Even if we are not, we’re not getting together. But if we’re not ever together or anything, like we still are going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives because of my son,” Brittany said.

She then said, “And I need him to be healthy, in a better place for our son. And that is my main focus, is making sure that he is getting the help that he actually needs. Because I still, to this day, do not think that he is there yet. No, he’s not. And he needs to go back to somewhere else. And I will say that publicly because it’s how I feel, and it’s the truth.”
