Brittany Cartwright said she didn’t plan to hook up with one of Jax Taylor’s friends while defending the brief fling.
During Monday’s episode of Bravo’s “Hot Mic” podcast, the “Valley” star addressed her relationship with Julian Sensley, which Page Six exclusively revealed.
“We did not have a no dating in the friend group policy,” Cartwright told executive producer Alex Baskin.
“We never spoke about that because why would we? First of, I didn’t think I was going to hook up with his friend, it wasn’t anything that I planned. I wasn’t trying to go after one of his friends, that’s not how it happened.”
The mom of one, 35, then explained that she specifically went after Sensley, 42, because “it was somebody that [she] felt [she] knew” and “always thought he was so hot.”
“I was just so mad at Jax, I didn’t care if I hurt his feelings like that. Why should I care? He never cared about how he hurt my feelings for years: he put me down, he did so much to me that I’m sorry you’re so upset about who it is, but at the same time, you didn’t give me attention, affection or anything for years.
“So, I was like, you know what? This guy is really hot and I was taking care of myself and Jax has no legs to stand on. He hooked up with my friend, let’s all remember that,” she said, referencing Taylor cheating with Faith Stowers.
“In our world, it’s so crazy, like how do you trust people?” she noted before pointing out that this was the first time she was “single for the first time” since moving to Los Angeles in 2015 to be with Taylor.
“Another weird thing about my life is that my whole LA story, it has been with Jax and on camera, pretty much […] so this is also a new thing for me.”
Just one month ago, Page Six revealed that Cartwright began a “casual” physical relationship with Sensley, who used to work the door at TomTom, after the “Valley” stars announced their split in February.

An insider told us that Taylor, 45, “went berserk” when he found out about the fling and this contributed to the former model’s desire to seek mental health treatment.
In the same podcast, Cartwright talked about how she thinks Taylor has not changed “at all” since his rehab stint.
At the end of July, Taylor entered an inpatient treatment center as he struggled with his mental health.
He exited the mental health facility after 30 days and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and narcissistic personality disorder.
Following his stint in rehab, Cartwright filed for divorce after five years of marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split and the date of separation as Jan. 24, 2024.
She asked the judge to waive spousal support for her and Taylor, while also seeking legal and physical custody of their 3-year-old child, Cruz.
