Bethenny said, “Then something that I’ve never seen in over 20 years of going to movie theater premieres happens. They say there’s an hour between the carpet and the premiere. Now, maybe that happens. I’ve never seen that happen.”
She continued, “And so I see one of Blake’s team members, and they’re a little distant and a little, like, icy to me. There’s something, and I’m like, ‘Oh, wow, okay.’ ”
Bethenny added that she had met that person in other situations, and they were completely fine together. She then said that the encounter was ‘slightly off-putting” to her and her friend. Later, they also saw Justin, and Bethenny said that they had a positive encounter.
However, this part of the video confirmed much of what Justin has said about the situation, which is that he was mostly separated from everyone else in the cast at the premiere despite directing and starring in the film. Justin has alleged he was forced to go into a basement with his family and friends.
Bethenny continued, “The premiere is usually in one giant theater, and there might be like an overflow theater. But here, like he’s in one theater, something’s going on somewhere else. I saw Anna [Wintour] walk this way. So they took us, and they put us all the way to the left in this theater that nobody was in. And it was just strange. It felt like they were separating everybody.”
“Now we’re hearing about everybody being separated. And the vibe was off. And so what I didn’t tell anybody cause I was like, ‘we’ll be canceled,’ was we left because the vibe was not vibing. So, something was definitely awry from the jump. It was palpable,” she added.
In terms of being afraid of being canceled, Bethenny also explained that it is taboo to go to a premiere and then leave without seeing the film. In the end, she said that the situation was so awkward that she even told her publicist about it.
