Bethenny Frankel offered Melissa Gorga an honest review of her new line of sprinkle cookies just days after taking aim at the poor taste of Harry Hamlin‘s pasta sauce.
After dealing her harsh criticism to Lisa Rinna‘s husband, the 54-year-old Real Housewives of New York City alum admitted Melissa, 45, and her husband, Joe Gorga, 50, were not “scared” when the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars delivered her an order of Melissa’s cookies.
“Melissa brought me sprinkle cookies. She’s an Italian from Jersey. She ain’t scared. I said, ‘You don’t want an honest review? Don’t send ‘em.’ Guess what? Joe and Melissa, they ain’t scared,” Bethenny began in a video shared on TikTok.
According to Bethenny, she appreciated that there was a card from Melissa with her photo on the front, describing the gesture as a “wonderful touch.” She also applauded Melissa for including “Sprinkle Cookies by Melissa Gorga” on the ribbon tied to the box.
“I like the box, the way that it opens. First of all, it’s aesthetically pleasing. It’s beautiful. But it’s organized. A lot of these cookie companies — Crumbl — cookies are jamming into each other. This is nice. Quadrants? I’d pay more for that,” Bethenny continued. “[And] I like the fact that you can see her cookies from the window. That’s aesthetically pleasing.”
While Bethenny admitted that the cookies needed “more sprinkles,” she said she liked the texture “a lot.”
“It’s got a crisp and a chew and no sog. The sprinkles have a crunch. Some sprinkles have a wax. These sprinkles have a crunch. The taste? There’s a little almond in the back. I’m getting a little bit of a rainbow cookie in the back, and I like it because I think she said, ‘My own version of her favorite sprinkle …’ Okay, so she did her own twist. I think it’s solid. Really good,” Bethenny concluded.
Amid the positive review, Melissa admitted to being overwhelmed by the amount of orders she was receiving.
“Wow!! We are completely blown away by your love for the cookies. Your support has been incredible, and we’re working tirelessly to get them out to you as quickly as possible,” she shared in a December 15 statement on Instagram. “Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm! We are trying to get them to everyone before Christmas, but we cannot guarantee with the overwhelming amount of orders! I knew you all loved sprinkle cookies.”
In addition to receiving praise from Bethenny, Melissa also received a good review from the Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter, 40.
“Wow! [Melissa Gorga] left no crumbs! Job well done babe! My #girlgang approves,” Gina declared with a video of her and her friends, including ex-husband Matt Kirschenheiter‘s new wife Britt, enjoying the cookies.
“Gina!! I love this and you girls look so cute … Happy holidays,” Melissa wrote in response.
“Happy holidays!!” Gina replied.
