Bethenny Frankel is getting honest about her dating life — or lack thereof.

On Sunday, Aug. 10, the Real Housewives of New York City alum, 54, went on TikTok to share a "confession" with her followers about where she stands with dating.

"I'm afraid to date," she began in the selfie video. "It's not like I'm actually actively afraid. It's like, I am so hesitant, because you know how, like, when you get food poisoning, you're just scared to eat that food again, even though rationally you know that, like, you're likely not gonna get food poisoning again from that same food, but you just can't bring yourself to do it?"

Frankel said that this has become her mindset "after all of these months of not dating at all."

"I dip my foot in and think I'm gonna do it, and then start talking to someone, and then I run away," she said, relating her dating situation to stepping into a cold pool.

"I like stick my foot in the pool and then I'm like, 'It's too cold. I don't want to go in,' and I'm doing that a lot. So maybe one day that pool will be warm enough and it'll be a beautiful enough day to like get in, but until that day, I'm not even dipping my toe in anymore," she said.

The Skinny Girl founder was last linked to businessman Tom Villante. The two made their first public appearance at the Yellowstone New York City premiere on Nov. 7, 2024. Frankel went Instagram official with him just a few weeks later, sharing a snap of Villante building a fire in a fireplace for her.

While she did not publicly announce their split, the two were last seen together in December 2024, according to Page Six.

Before her relationship with Villante, Frankel was engaged to Paul Bernon. The couple got engaged in March 2021 after three years of dating and called it quits in May 2024.

Frankel was previously married to Jason Hoppy, with whom she was with for almost three years and shares a daughter, Bryn Hoppy, 15. Her first marriage was with the entertainment industry executive Peter Sussman from 1996 to 1997.

In March, Frankel revealed on an episode of Alix Earle's Hot Mess podcast that it is difficult to find a partner who isn’t jealous of her success.

“What I run into is extremely successful men that by anybody’s standards are very wealthy, very successful, very smart," she explained. "Then they meet someone like me, but they start to question their own business. How successful they are. No matter what, it will be intimidating. It just will on some level."
