Below Deck season 12 has just made history.

On the Monday, July 28, episode of the Bravo series, a franchise first occurred as the police were called to the boat after Captain Kerry Titheradge locked a drunk and out-of-control guest in their cabin.

Kelly, who was on board the ship as a guest of the primary, got out of hand and pushed Captain Kerry too far during her stay after drinking a little bit too much champagne.

The resulting conflict, which forced Kerry to call French authorities, was the first time police had to be called due to a passenger-related incident in Below Deck's history, Bravo confirmed. The only other time police made contact with a Below Deck vessel was in Below Deck Mediterranean season 5 due to an issue with where the boat had anchored.

Kelly refused several portions of the meal that the rest of the group was enjoying and kept insisting on going on the banana boat, despite continuing to drink.

"Kelly, if you drink less, we can enjoy more," one of her friends told her. She replied that she was "ready for Jack Daniels," implying she had no plans to slow down.

When reminded by a member of the crew to "be aware" of how much she was drinking if she wanted to jet ski, she again pushed back.

In a confessional, one crewmember described her as "s--- faced" and said she "had to be chugging bottles of champagne in the taxi on the way over."

Captain Kerry was then made aware of the behavior, and he asked his crew to "keep an eye on her" and suggested mixing in some sparkling water between glasses of champagne.

Unaware that the issue was being escalated, Kelly continued to be unruly and asked for more champagne, as she said she wasn't interested in eating anything and just wanted to drink.

Captain Kerry then said he had to "cut off Kelly, she's had way too much to drink," after she left the dining room in hopes of getting on the banana boat.

She again struggled against the crew and Kerry's orders after he told her she needed a life jacket on, due to her drinking, if she wanted to get in the water. She jumped off the boat and swam away, telling him she "could care less about your stupid yacht," which Kerry called a "big f--- you" in a confessional.

"When I ask you specifically not to do something, and you go right against what I say, we've got a friggin' problem."

When she eventually got back on board, Captain Kerry informed her that he would be calling the authorities.

She again struggled against the crew as they ushered her back inside, and was calling them "a--holes" repeatedly while her friends tried to calm her down.

Kerry's focus remained on keeping Kelly on board as he made sure to secure all possible exits, but she continued to push back, threatening that she had members of the FBI in her family, which Kerry again took as a threat.

"She's extremely drunk. She could fall and hurt herself. She could drown. I'm gonna do what it takes to keep her safe," Kerry explained in a confessional.

He then called the dock master to explain the situation and get the police up to date. As authorities made their way toward the boat, Kelly asked to speak privately with the Captain, and he led her into a room and held the door closed to keep her inside, while she claimed the crew was treating her "like filth" and demanded to be let out.

Her friends went in again to check on her, and she claimed she was calling the FBI, while they informed her that French police had arrived at the boat and she needed to comply with their demands, or risk arrest.

Just as police arrived at the boat, the episode ended with a "To Be Continued" card, teasing more drama to come next week.

New episodes of Below Deck premiere Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
