The Valley star Jax Taylor’s woes have reached boiling point — both figuratively and literally — after a chaotic outburst at his struggling Studio City bar left guests stunned and staff shaken. A witness has exclusively told DailyMail+ that the Bravo alum “completely lost it” during a heated exchange with a bartender last weekend, in what is being described as one of the most uncomfortable moments yet at his nearly deserted venue.
According to the eyewitness, the incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday night, when only a handful of tables were occupied. “It wasn’t even busy,” they began, “but Jax came in visibly agitated, pacing and checking his phone constantly. About 15 minutes in, he pulled one of the bartenders aside and just started going off.”
The witness claims that Taylor, 45, was reacting to a viral Yelp review that had circulated earlier that day across Bravo fan pages and Reddit forums, criticizing not only the food quality but also Jax’s absence from the venue and the “unwelcoming energy.”
“He was yelling about the ‘idiot who left that review’ and said the staff should be ‘working harder to create a vibe.’ He then turned to the bartender and shouted, ‘How are we gonna turn this around if you people act like you don’t even wanna be here?!’” the guest recalled.
At one point, Jax allegedly grabbed a bar towel and hurled it across the room, where it hit the wall just inches from a group of young women who were quietly finishing their drinks. “Everyone froze,” said the witness. “It was dead silent except for him shouting. The poor bartender looked mortified.”
The outburst reportedly lasted several minutes before one of the other staff members discreetly ushered the bartender into the kitchen. Jax was later seen standing outside on his phone, appearing frustrated and red-faced. “It looked like he was texting furiously or maybe even crying,” the guest added. “He didn’t return for at least another half an hour.”
Staff at Jax’s Studio City have declined to comment, and multiple attempts to reach Taylor’s representative went unanswered as of press time. However, this latest outburst follows a string of troubling incidents linked to the embattled Bravo personality, whose bar has faced poor reviews, low foot traffic, and public backlash over reported health code complaints and a now-infamous diaper-changing incident involving his young son Cruz.
Jax opened the bar in October 2023, branding it as a family-friendly sports venue with “heart,” despite whispers in the LA nightlife scene that he held no legal equity in the business. Now, as attendance continues to dwindle and fan sentiment grows colder, insiders say Jax has been increasingly volatile behind the scenes.
“He thought the bar would be his big comeback,” a source close to production told DailyMail+. “But now that it’s failing, he’s lashing out — at staff, at fans, even at himself. It’s like watching a man unravel, and Bravo doesn’t know how much longer they can spin this.”
With Brittany Cartwright having moved out and divorce proceedings underway, Jax appears to be fighting a war on multiple fronts — marital, financial, and public image — all while under the ever-critical gaze of the Bravo audience.
“He doesn’t understand that you can’t just slap your name on something and expect people to show up forever,” said another industry insider. “Reputation matters. And right now, his is hanging by a thread.”
