IT was a bit of a brutal ending for Baked Potato last night as she was sent home through the back door, just days ahead of the show’s big finale.
Viewers branded it “totally unfair” and a “s*** twist” after Rosie was shown the back door, as a result of Segun choosing her.
Segun picked Baked Potato, Nathan and Ali to join him in the BB vault, knowing the housemate with the fewest public votes would be sent packing.
He ended up winning £10k, after placing £5k bundles in front of each housemate he thought was safe from eviction.
But one person who thinks the right person was dumped is The Sun’s Big Brother columnist, who said Baked Potato’s “showmance” led her to become very unlikeable with viewers. Here’s what she had to say…
So night we saw the introduction of the vault and Baked Potato got the boot out of the backdoor.
Am I surprised? Not really. It was the whole Nathan ‘showmance’ thing. I think that made her a little bit unlikable by the public.
Segun won ten grand and I am over the moon for him because I don’t think he’s going to win the show. I think he’s very misunderstood.
But I also think that he's just the nicest guy ever and anyone that chooses to put their faith first in this day and age, well that’s a good guy to me.
Listen coming from an insider, let me tell you exactly how he will be feeling.
He'll be feeling really bad, really guilty, really sad that because of him, Baked Potato has had to leave.
But then he'll be really conflicted because, oh, he's ten grand up. Happy days, and he's still in the house.
But yeah, it was sad to see Nathan feel so upset.
I remember when I watched Imogen be evicted from the house and I was in floods of tears.
I mean, I was literally heart broken. I was on the floor because I was watching it on the screen.
I was screaming so dramatically, but I genuinely felt those feelings because your bond becomes so strong.
And it was only like literally a week before I would have seen her anyway.
But yeah, trust me, guys.
Nathan's feelings last night when he got really upset, they were genuine. You do get really close to people.
But we also have to talk about Baked Potato’s exit interview, because what was that? It was so awkward.
That girl needed help during that because she was all over the place. She was a nervous wreck. Bless her heart.
Listen, she's a sweetie, but she didn't deserve to win.
The vault is brutal
The vault is treacherous, and I love it. People go in there and people ain't coming out.
They're going home through the back door.
By the way, do you know how peed off I'd be if I did six weeks in Big Brother house got evicted through the back door?
Baked potato pretended she was OK with it.
I don't believe you, hun. I just don't. I'd be p*****.
You’re telling me I’ve got to go through the whole of Big Brother and I'm not going to get the whole walk out the front, even if they boo me, let me out to the lions.
I wanna go out the front way.
But actually, when I was in the house, I was begging to go out the back door cos I heard them boo me
But in hindsight, I'd be furious if I had to go out the back door.
Ali, you’re getting on my nerves
Ali is getting on my last nerve honestly.
Why? Because that b**** never self reflects.
When I was in the house, if I was put up for eviction, I'd be mortified. I was mortified.
I was devastated, but I'd self-reflect. I'd be like, girl, what have you done? What have you done wrong? Where might people misconstrued you or misunderstood you? Or have you in fact, been a b****?
I was never a b****, but yeah, I'd self-reflect.
But Ali has no capacity to do this, and you would think she would.
All she wants to do is moan about the reasons why people put her up for eviction and she has a bee in her bonnet about Segun.
She's like, ‘Oh, he's fake, he's just playing Mr nice guy.
Well, let me tell you something. You cannot play a character for six weeks.
Your true colours come out and I know for a fact I'll put my money on it that Segun is just genuinely a nice guy.
And instead of Ali self-reflecting, she just doesn’t and I can’t stand it. I honestly can’t stand her.
Marcello, I’m proud of you
I love the fact that Marcello's through to the final as last head of house.
He has protection, he's not going to get nominated.
And it was really interesting, actually, because last night he spoke about how Ali makes him feel like he's always having to watch his Ps and Qs.
He said she literally picks on him at anything that he says, and that it’s not a good Big Brother experience.
And I'm I'm kind of sad for him.
On one hand, I think she's saved him because some of his stuff is really naff that he says, and a bit cringe.
But on the other hand, you should let someone express themselves exactly how they want to and for coming from someone like Ali, who's supposed to be sort of like open and liberal, she should let people breathe
That’s all I'm saying.
Join me again ahead of the Big Brother final, as I share my thoughts on who’ll win the show.
