Bachelorette Alum Rachel Lindsay Ordered to Pay Bryan Abasolo $500,000 in Divorce Settlement as Details of What the Exes Got Are Revealed

The Bachelorette is one of the most popular reality TV shows on television. However, it doesn’t always, or even typically, lead to everlasting happiness for the people who supposedly find love on the series. Just ask Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo, as years after appearing, their divorce is finalized. Now, Rachel has to pay up big time to her ex-husband.

Fans of The Bachelorette will recall that Rachel starred on the show for its 13th season. This led to her marrying contestant Bryan in 2019. Sadly, he filed for divorce in January 2024. He informed her of the divorce with a simple text message. 

As with many celebrity divorces, Bryan’s requests for a settlement have been public knowledge for quite some time. Now, according to PEOPLE, Rachel is forced to pay him handsomely following their short-lived marriage. As per the settlement, she will be handing over a hefty $500,000 lump sum payment to the former Bachelorette contestant.

Bryan will also get the Miami home they shared, a 2021 Honda Civic, a Breitling watch, multiple bank accounts, and some LLCs related to wellness companies. This comes after she was previously ordered to pay him $13,000 per month in spousal support. 

According to the settlement, the $39,771 Rachel has already paid to her ex in spousal support will be deducted from the $500k payment, leaving her owing a total of $460,229 to Bryan.

With the settlement, Bryan has also waived his right to any further spousal support, as did Rachel.

Rachel isn’t walking away from the union empty-handed. She will get their property in North Hollywood, her 2023 Porsche Macan, and various bank accounts and businesses. Rachel will also keep the engagement ring and wedding band. 

The report goes on to say that the couple will split some of their assets. This includes the Fan Controlled Football League and any profits from their stakes in a company called Molly’s Grape & Produce for the next five years. 

Since filing for divorce, Rachel, who is a lawyer, has said that she would sign a prenup if she could go back and redo things. She said on the Hidden Gems podcast, “It was just a different time, so I wasn’t leading with that. We weren’t on the same page with prenups, and so I just didn’t want it to be a bigger issue, so we didn’t have one.”

She added, “You know, hindsight’s 20/20. I would’ve done it. I mean, I always wanted to do it, but again, we weren’t on the same page when it came to that.”
