Will you accept this advice, Grant Ellis?
While filming the current 29th season of The Bachelor, the show's latest leading man received some words of wisdom from his predecessor, Joey Graziadei.
In an exclusive clip from the upcoming March 3 episode, the 31-year-old sits down over beers and pours out his heart to the season 28 star—who got engaged to Kelsey Anderson on the show—while discussing his journey so far.
"It's been emotionally taxing," Grant admitted. "I knew that I was gonna develop feelings but I didn't expect them to be so deep."
Joey advised him to listen to his heart. "I think the biggest thing is, take a beat when you feel something," he said. "Your words are gonna hold so much weight over this next couple of weeks."
The advice is especially meaningful as Grant admitted to Joey that he is worried that after looking for love on TV he ultimately won’t get his happily ever after.
"I am a little bit nervous," he emphasized, "because my greatest fear is that I end up alone."
Indeed, the day trader’s conversation with Joey comes after he meets the families of the final four contestants—Dina Lupancu, Juliana Pasquarosa, Zoe McGrady, and Litia Garr—and prepares to hand out three crucial roses to determine who vie for his heart during the finale. And ahead of that major decision, Joey had one final note.
"From being in your shoes," the Dancing With the Stars alum explained, "there is something to be said about like, a gut feeling. I really listened to that throughout my whole journey on the show."
And that mindset has served him well even beyond the dating show. More than a year after Joey, 29, popped the question to Kelsey during the season 28 finale, the duo are stronger than ever.
"I just feel like our relationship has never been better," Kelsey, 26, told E! News exclusively earlier this month. "He's my best friend, and he's just the best person. I just feel like we've grown just by knowing each other better."
While Joey and Kelsey have been engaged for over a year, the wedding planning is in its beginning stages.
"We're really excited to start narrowing down destinations and dates and starting to get that process going," she said. "So, we're definitely starting it and excited to see where because we have family all over the place. So, we'll see where it is, but still in the process of figuring it out."
