As The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Porsha Williams works to expand her lifestyle brand into a "a billion dollar empire," she's hoping to shrink her roster of Go Naked Hair ambassadors by one: castmate Drew Sidora.
During a team meeting in Season 16, Episode 4, Porsha's creative director, Johnnie, who's also a music executive, revealed that Drew "reached out" to him about sitting down with her and Dennis McKinley to strategize how he could help boost her music career. "It was random because I was like, 'When did Dennis become Quincy Jones?'" Johnnie quipped.
Instead of directly commenting on Drew working with her ex-fiancé in the meeting, Porsha brought up her status with the company. "As far as Drew, there are some other things that she has not done according to her contract that Go Naked corporate will handle," she said.
Claiming in a confessional that Go Naked Hair has "a full-blown team," including attorneys, admin, and HR, Porsha explained, "I cannot just say, 'Fire her.' That would not be proper business."
Crossing her fingers, though, Porsha confessed, "Am I hoping the bitch gets fired? Yes."
Why does Porsha Williams want Drew Sidora let go from Go Naked Hair?
Though Porsha didn't elaborate on Drew's alleged contract violations, the topic of her involvement with the brand previously arose in Episode 2.
"My problem with you is this: You are a lowdown dirty individual. And you know what I'm talking about," Porsha told Drew during a confrontation at Shamea Morton's birthday bash, before asking producers for permission to break the fourth wall.
Able to speak freely, Porsha explained that one of her issues was that Drew had contacted the RHOA production team about filming a Go Naked photoshoot that she had set up without her permission.
What's more, Porsha added, "You have been trying to go behind my back and do something very dirty by asking Dennis to film with you."
Drew Sidora asked Dennis McKinley to "bridge the gap" with Porsha Williams
As Porsha reiterated in another Episode 4 interview, one of her "main boundaries" with Dennis is that he "doesn't need to be filming with" Drew.
"It's giving Single White Female," she said of her RHOA castmate. "Which is cute when [we're] working together and [you're] wearing my wigs, but, bitch, you can't actually be me."
So, it likely didn't help their already-strained friendship when cameras caught up with Drew and Dennis in the studio, later in the episode. After the "I Did It to Me" singer explained that Dennis was "an intricate part" of her album, serving as executive producer and placing her with award-winning producers and writers, the conversation turned to her being in "quite a lot of trouble" with Porsha lately.
"When I go hang out with my girls, it's a little stressful of an environment," Drew admitted to Dennis. "She's goin' off because I'm working with you, and you told me she was all good with it. But now she's not OK."
Though Dennis claimed he didn’t "even know what's going on," a well-timed flashback to his hot mic moment in Episode 2, during which Porsha warned him it would "be a problem" if he filmed with Drew, proved otherwise.
As he put it to Drew, though, "When we started this, [Porsha] was in Nigeria eating fufu. I didn't have to be like, 'Hey, look, this is what I got goin' on.'"
When Drew asked Dennis to "bridge the gap" with Porsha and "clear the air" now, though, he responded, "You take the lead on that."
Are Drew Sidora and Porsha Williams friends now?
It’s unlikely she'll take that step anytime soon, though.
As Drew explained in a confessional, "Me and Porsha at this point, it's like a closed door for me. I have made several attempts to try and talk to her, and you have to just let Porsha be Porsha, and we'll talk on Porsha's time. And if not, it is what it is."
Even so, Drew and Porsha avoided conflict (and any meaningful conversation, in general) at Angela Oakley’s bank dinner, later in the episode. So, in the meantime, it seems the two will at least be able to peacefully coexist — for now, anyway.
As the drama plays out on RHOA Season 16, don’t miss the special reason Porsha and Dennis recently reunited.
